Should we evaluate and hire future AI Agents based on hard and soft skills? As we know, recruiters typically evaluate candidates based on hard and soft skills, as both are essential for job success. A dream team it's a magic mix, and it takes years to build it. Hard skills: specific, teachable, and measurable abilities directly related to a job or industry. Soft skills: interpersonal and personality traits that determine how effectively someone interacts and collaborates with others. Moving to the "world" of AI agents / Agentic AI, if the hard skills are "easier" to identify, how about the soft skills? #Agentic AI is an advanced AI system that autonomously takes actions, adapts in real-time, and solves multi-step problems based on context and objectives. How many "soft skills" are needed in this magic combination? ⏩Communication Skills? Comprehend human language accurately, including tone, context, and intent. Empathy Simulation, acknowledging user emotions. ⏩Adaptability? Adjusting responses based on the situation. Adapt to new tasks, preferences, or data inputs over time. Switching between different contexts or tasks seamlessly. ⏩ Problem-solving skills? Analyzing complex queries/problems, to deliver effective solutions. Making informed choices when multiple options/paths are available. "Talking with" ... external databases, APIs, or modules to find solutions, beyond its immediate knowledge. ⏩Collaboration Skills? Interfacing effectively with software systems, platforms, or other AI agents. Working interactively with users, asking clarifying questions, and providing suggestions for better outcomes. Understanding its role within a larger workflow. ⏩Emotional Intelligence? Recognizing and responding appropriately to user emotions. Maintaining a friendly tone in all interactions. Reducing user frustration by offering helpful solutions. ⏩Time Management? Handling urgent requests first or managing multiple tasks efficiently. Delivering fast, accurate results to save user time. ⏩Ethical Considerations? (the most challenging one) Communicating its capabilities and limitations. Will AI want to recognize its limitations? Isn't it better for the AI to fail, rather than make a non-ethical decision? Providing fair and unbiased responses or recommendations. How can AI detect or measure if the responses given are unbiased? Will AI want to do that? Ensuring user data is handled securely and respecting privacy laws. ⏩Creativity? Proposing innovative solutions or alternatives when standard responses are not enough. Can we define the degree of creativity we "authorize" for the AI? Generating text, images, or other media in creative and user-specific ways. Who inside an Enterprise will "run" AI Agents evaluation? When "recruiting" your future AI Agents, will you look for the 8 skills above? How do the 8 skills above relate to the core attributes of Agentic AI? What about the degree of autonomy, goal orientation, and proactive decision-making?

It's about Intangible Asset of course (Intellectual Property & Proprietary Tech) >> Customer Data >> Operational Data >> Proprietary Datasets >> Data-Driven Algorithms & AI So, data built by an Enterprise is owned by that Enterprise. Or legally acquired, to have the needed rights to use it. Now, let's go back to Europe, the regulation of AI, and everything around data protection. Let's go back to Ethics in AI. Agentic automation represents the shift from traditional, rule-based only enterprise automation and unlocks the capability to handle complex, decision making processes that can be adapted in real time. The introduction of AI has an immense impact on the efficiency of automations, and there is a debate on how RPA fits into the future of agentic orchestration and agent use in the enterprise. To address this, it is important to acknowledge that enterprise workflows have become more complex, with the average large company using over 175 systems. A business process includes deterministic and non-deterministic workflows, which require different models in order to successfully automate them. RPA is not incompatible with an agentic workflow; they are complementary. The sweet spot for RPA is to automate rule-based tasks that span multiple business systems and require high reliability and efficiency, such as data gathering, entry, and migration. Agents excel in handling the unstructured parts of a business process that require high adaptability, such as forecasting, comparison, innovation, and problem-solving. In cases where enterprise knowledge might be difficult to express in rules, an agent aids with creative and dynamic decisions and is goal-based.The key to automating, modeling, and monitoring complex business processes is agentic orchestration. This technology connects robots, agents, and humans under the same framework and is necessary for the successful scaling of agentic automation.
