Castruccio and Eastern Shore Produce Auction v. Holloway, which shed light on the court's authority to issue stays and the applicability of Rule 62 (Federal Rules of Civil Procedure) in probate matters. 🔍 Conducted in-depth research into the Maryland Uniform Arbitration Act and its provisions regarding the enforceability of arbitration awards, the grounds for vacating awards, and the court's power to stay proceedings when an arbitration issue is involved. 📝 Prepared a comprehensive strategy for filing a motion for stay of suit, citing the pending appeal of the arbitration award, the potential for irreparable harm if the property is sold, and relevant legal authorities. 🗣️ Developed persuasive arguments emphasizing the likelihood of success on appeal, the risk of irreparable harm, the balance of harm to other parties, and the potential public interest served by granting a stay.
