Two days ago, we had the privilege of participating in an impactful workshop conducted by the Aquaya Institute in partnership with USAID. Together, they've been diving deep into research on incentivization mechanisms to improve water quality in Nairobi's low-income areas. As a dedicated #technology provider in the WASH industry, we were honored to share our insights on defining, prioritizing, and assessing the feasibility of actionable recommendations. Our collaborative discussions underscored the importance of sustainable and scalable solutions, especially for the communities most in need. It was an inspiring experience that allowed us to expand our collective knowledge and strengthen our commitment to driving meaningful change in WASH. Exciting news! We are thrilled to announce that Wonderkid Multimedia has been selected by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) for a prestigious Proof of Concept (PoC) project with the zanzibar water authority zawa (ZAWA), chosen from among many applicants. Established in 2006, ZAWA has played a vital role in providing clean water to Zanzibar, a region grappling with rapid population growth and significant challenges in #non-#revenue #water (NRW), #leak #management, and #IT #system #inefficiencies. The PoC aims to implement a robust, digital solution designed to improve ZAWA's revenue collection, reduce NRW losses, and significantly enhance operational efficiency across their water management systems. In the past few weeks, we have worked closely with #stakeholders to clarify the project’s scope, align with regulatory requirements, and set up the foundational systems. We are now in the process of delivering an #extensive #training #program for the ZAWA team, focusing on the new #digital #tools, #system #management, and #operational #workflows. This training is a critical component, ensuring ZAWA staff are equipped to maximize the benefits of the new system once it goes live. We are honored to be part of this transformational journey with zanzibar water authority zawa (ZAWA) and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), and we look forward to continuing our collaboration as we work to improve water management in Zanzibar.

Last week, we had the immense pleasure of hosting our long-standing partners, the Northern Region Water Board from Malawi. For nearly half a decade, they have been one of our valued clients, benefiting from our On-Spot Billing Platform, which has significantly improved their billing and collection efficiencies. The visit began with a morning session at #Thika #Water #and #Sewerage #Company, led by the #ICT #Manager Walter Ng'eno. Alongside our Implementation Specialist, they demonstrated additional features of our Utility Master Billing Platform. In the afternoon, we transitioned to the Microsoft Kenya Office, where our Microsoft Dynamics ERP partner, IMPAX BUSINESS SOLUTIONS joined forces with Kelvin Muriungi -Solution Sales Specialist at Microsoft, to lead a very detailed and insightful session. We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to deepen our partnership with the Northern Region Water Board and to showcase the innovations that continue to drive our mutual success. After successfully developing and deploying our #Mobile #Field #Assistant Application for comprehensive on-spot billing for Lilongwe Water Board in 2017 and offering support to date, we are privileged to return to the "Land of Lakes" to develop and deploy a #Fault #Management #System. Our long-term partnership with #LWB has achieved significant milestones, including reducing the billing period from 30 days to instant billing, which generated an early cash collection benefit for the utility. These achievements contributed to Lilongwe Water Board being #awarded the #Water #Service #Provider of the #Year 2018/2019 in #Malawi. As a result, the board has been recognized as a #benchmarking utility for other utilities in Malawi and the region. We are thrilled to collaborate with Lilongwe Water Board once again to deploy a #Fault #Management #System that will ensure the efficient and reliable operation of the water distribution infrastructure. This system will minimize disruptions, ensure the delivery of safe and clean water to consumers, and enhance the corporate image by achieving timely responses to customer queries. Tachasis is a location deep in Tinderet Constituency in the greater Nandi County in Kenya. Tachasis Water and Sanitation Company is a water company classified as a small water utility in Kenya and licensed by the Water Services Regulatory Board to provide water and sanitation services to the people of Tinderet sub-county in Nandi County. TACHWASCO as commonly known in Kenya played host to our Implementations and Training team last week as they were taken through the Onboarding process and Training of our Mater Reading and Billing System - Utility Master (https://utilitymaster.app/) Our #Billing platform is very scalable allowing us to accommodate from the very large utilities to the smallest of utilities such as TACHWASCO.
