A milestone for Taiwan Digital Health! On Nov. 18th, The Health Promotion Board (HPB) in Singapore, announced the launch of two health promotion initiatives. Among them, the DigiCoach program, in collaboration with Taiwan's renowned digital health company Health2Sync 智抗糖 and 亞培, aims to provide blood glucose monitoring and digital health education to 2,500 individuals with prediabetes or those who are overweight or obese. The program seeks to prevent the onset of diabetes through behavioral changes over a three-month period. 1.5 years ago, we hosted the first HCMC Data Meetup. We tried treating the pilot as a trial, but the vision behind it was so clear that everyone involved just knew that this was it. And there is a single reason it worked out. 🔻 All we wanted was: 1. A forum to share cutting-edge knowledge and insights; 2. A community whose members uplifted each other. Too general, one might say. 🙄 But this was not just the meetup vision, really. It was Infinite Lambda's vision, with our values of excellence, people, empowerment, learning and humility to back it up. Team members are aligned with these values, that comes naturally when you put company culture in the centre of selection. Setting up for a place to share knowledge and support the wider community is rooted in these values. 🌏𝗔𝗣𝗔𝗖 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁 & 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗥𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴: 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 📖 Our inaugural two-day #APACHeartSummit co-hosted with the Ministry of Public Health of Thailand and National Health Security Office and APAC CVD Patients' Roundtable Meeting co-hosted in collaboration with Global Heart Hub came to a close on Sunday 20 October in #Bangkok. An incredible line-up of governments, patient advocates, policymakers, experts, and leaders in healthcare came together to discuss and tackle the growing cardiovascular disease (CVD) crisis in the Asia-Pacific region. 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗲’𝘃𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗱: 🔑 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗡𝗼𝗻-𝗡𝗲𝗴𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲: Governments, healthcare providers, and private sectors must work hand-in-hand to flatten the CVD curve. Multi-sector collaboration is critical for sustainable change.  🗣️ 𝗡𝗼 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗨𝘀 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗨𝘀: Empowering patients to actively participate in their own care is reshaping healthcare. Patient-centric care is no longer an option—it’s a necessity. 💡 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁: From screening programs to community awareness campaigns to promote healthier lifestyles, preventing CVD before it starts will be the most effective way to tackle the burden in APAC. 🤝 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝗺𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲: Primary care integration, digital health, and community empowerment are key to person-centered care, particularly in rural areas. 💔 𝗔𝗱𝗱𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘂𝗿𝗲: With heart failure on the rise, early detection, treatment, and preventative measures are crucial to curbing hospital readmissions and reducing costs. ⚖️ 𝗧𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀: Women face a higher prevalence of heart failure. The need for gender-sensitive approaches and inclusive clinical trials was clear. 🚀 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲: Emerging technologies like AI and wearables are showing immense promise in preventing and managing CVD. The future of CVD care is tech-driven, but we must ensure equitable access. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿: we must act now to reduce the growing impact of CVD on our communities.
