🚀 How I Made 1,000,000+ Yen at Takeoff Tokyo (And Why You Should Go Too!) Takeoff Tokyo is coming on March 25th and 26th and I wanted to promote their event as it is a great cause and you should too.... if you have not yet. If you are interested in the Japan startup ecosystem this is the event to be. There are idea and seed stage companies who are truly interested in the Japan market. You have speakers who have made it past seed stage. None of those generic startup booths with startups from overseas who got a free trip to Tokyo and are a waste of time like you see in other events. Over the last two events, I made over 1,000,000 yen in revenue by doing two key things : 1. Gave a presentation each year 2. Used their online booking system Brella to book founders and companies before the event who actively looking to scale their business in Japan (we found many of the companies at sushi tech to be a waste of our time) As a result I was able to sell two services 📈 I found clients for my B2B Sales Pamphlet Course – Many early-stage startups struggle with sales in Japan. After talking to founders at the event, I realized my course was exactly what they needed. By the end of the event, I had closed multiple clients. https://lnkd.in/gsTAhE7S 💡 I landed new Revenue Growth Advisory clients – I booked meetings before the event using their system Brella with founders actively looking for help scaling in Japan. 🤩 This year we are offering incorporation and company setup services (bank account, visa, tax registrations, etc), so looking forward to finding our 15th+ client https://lnkd.in/gN4M-atH And beyond sales? - Met amazing podcast guests - Connected with talented university volunteers—potential interns - Expanded my network with serious startup founders & investors That’s why this year, I’m sending my full-time staff to attend—because this event delivers results. What makes Takeoff Tokyo different? ✅ English-first focus – No language barriers, just clear conversations. ✅ Perfect for early-stage startups – If you're a seed or idea-stage founder, this is your crowd. ✅ Great for meeting investors – VCs here actually invest in foreign-led startups. ✅ Strong pre-event meeting system – You can book meetings before the event, making networking targeted and efficient. ✅ Grassroots, founder-driven – No corporate fluff. Just a real community supporting Japan’s startup ecosystem. If you support the Japan startup ecosystem, get a ticket. If you can’t make it, show some love by engaging with this post. Massive respect to Antti Sonninen, the organizer, who pours his blood, sweat, and tears into making this event happen. Let’s help it grow. 📅 Get your tickets now: https://lnkd.in/gQfS4R78 - use the code FRIENDSOFSCALING for 20% off (please note I am not receiving any kickbacks but just truly want to support them) Who else is going?
