I thought maybe she drowned, and the character was fishing her out to make a peaceful resting place shrine/grave/altar in the woods for her. But unclear! I didn't mind the ambiguity but it did surprise me at first too! Maybe this species has unique death customs. The art and music for this is SO gorgeous. Took me a while to figure out I needed to wait for the fish to bite enough times so for a while I just decorated the empty grave site with the things around the forest. I lost my grandma to dementia as well so this was really poignant for me. Great work devs! Hope to see more from you :)
