ERP 20 Years Making an Impact: Inner Confessions   Alberto Canni Ferrari is currently the Head of ERP Southern Europe and the General Manager for Italy and is also part of the most experienced colleagues regarding these 2 decades of ERP history. ERP started in Italy in 2006 and one of the most significant steps at that time was managing to “have all compliance schemes sitting together in the same table” and establish the coordination center in the country. This mission was successful and other challenges came, namely the decision to internalise some core processes such as purchasing and operations. In the words of Alberto C. Ferrari: “We managed to be quite innovative with the figure of the field officer to move around the country and create a good relationship with the Municipalities, with the main goal to have efficiency in the collection.” We jumped from a “very simple and easy organisation to be managed” working on WEEE and batteries streams to a consortium able to offer other services for the textile market. When Landbell was added to the ERP business, it was a “strong push in developing the business and trying to propose more and more services” and “being part of an international organisation that is constantly growing both in territories and services is our main advantage.”    Hopefully, the future will position the entity as a “key player in the PV modules market” and also be an opportunity to develop textile business.
