The synergy between elevating and grounding forces is key to this change, with elevating forces fueled by interaction, information, and computing serving as catalysts for innovation, propelling industries towards uncharted territories. These forces herald the rise of transformative technologies such as spatial computing, which allows virtual worlds to blend with the real world, and Generative AI (GenAI), that gives organizations access to new insights and creative potential. Simultaneously, grounding forces, including the business of technology, core modernization, security, and trust, provide the necessary foundation for sustainable growth. Investments in modernizing core systems and bolstering cybersecurity infrastructure ensure seamless integration of new technologies while safeguarding against emerging threats. As technology evolves, DevOps undergoes a paradigm shift, prioritizing the empowerment of developers through developer experience (DevEx). This transition fosters a culture of innovation and collaboration, driving efficiency and creativity in software development. Furthermore, the Indian technology industry's revenue is set to surpass US$254 billion in FY2024, with a 3.8 percent year-on-year growth, marking an addition of more than US$9 billion compared with the previous year. The rising prominence of Global Capability Centres (GCCs), highlighting India's increasing ability to meet international tech demands, is a key contributor to the country’s growth. With over 1,600 GCCs, the Indian GCC market is on track to exceed US$100 billion by 2030, likely to employ more than 4.5 million people across 2,500 GCCs nationwide by 2030. The last decade has seen India create the world’s largest digital public service ecosystem, scaling it for a billion people to usher in an era of digitization. This has had a domino effect – improving governance and quality of life, driving technology innovation, IT services, and product development, and accelerating the tech start-up culture in India. As more businesses use immersive experiences powered by 5G and spatial computing, coupled with government initiatives supporting digital innovation, India is poised for a transformative era.

👋 Fostering GenAI Champions Within Your Organization Having gone through a few transformation journeys, I've come to realize that every transformational change attracts a few passionate people at the organization - those who become early adopters and power users. These folks are naturally curious and have a high propensity to adopt new technology, start POCs, are eager to demonstrate their work, and openly share their learnings within the organization. These folks emerge across Lines of Businesses, and across the various levels of the organization. Having such folks within your organization make a huge difference in adopting change. The same is true with Generative AI (GenAI) adoption. We call these folks GenAI Champions. So, who are these folks? GenAI Champions are colleagues who truly believe in the power of AI and love sharing their knowledge with others. No one asks them to take on this role. They don't drop their day job to focus on this new transformation. Instead, they do so without permission and often learn on their own time. They're experts in their respective fields, great communicators, and have the uncanny ability to connect the dots between their work and the promise of the new technology. How can you empower your GenAI Champions? Give them the resources and support they need to spread the word! Here are a few ways, I have observed my customers foster GenAI Champions: 1️⃣ Host fun workshops or webinars for these champions to share their expertise - they have a way to infuse enthusiasm that cannot be done in structured trainings. Their energy motives the fast follower employees to ask questions in safe 1on1 environments and start experimenting. 2️⃣ Invite them to help shape your company's GenAI strategy. Allow them to form 2-pizza teams (Amazon lingo for small, purpose driven teams) within Lines of Businesses (LoBs) - this allows cross-functional teams to come together and start working backwards from business needs to explore the technology. 3️⃣ Recognize their effort and celebrate those early wins - nothing motivates human beings more than being recognized for their efforts. Look, I'm not suggesting that GenAI Champions alone will single-handedly transform your business. But, by nurturing a community of GenAI Champions, and encouraging formation of diversified 2-pizza teams, across LoBs, you'll not only make it easier for your company to embrace GenAI but also create a culture of innovation and continuous learning. 💬 Do you have GenAI Champions at your workplace?
