A very nice article by Prof. Vishal Gupta on natural self, ego self & it's impact on performance at work and how mindfulness can help ace our inner game. https://lnkd.in/dakQRjmH Few points which stand out for me from article are: -> Often our negative judgments seem to be an automatic response which comes from ego self. -> Our ‘natural-self’ is the real us and It symbolizes our innate ability to enjoy, learn, perform and grow.  -> Ego-self is programmed and is much dumber than the natural-self. -> Performance = Potential (natural-self capability) – Interference (deprecating ego-self talk) -> Mindfulness is to have a non-judgmental approach and to accept things as they are. -> By practicing mindfulness, one can learn to appreciate the fact that not everything we think is true.

Another batch of leaders on "Self Improvement". We discussed assessing the 8 arenas of life and quantifying the current levels . Prioritisation, understanding nuances around enhancing collaboration. Learning the SCOT, PDCA, building personal value and goal setting the NLP way. Learnt the importance of creating measurables and accountability partner at each stage. The journaling format and process of reflection , setting the self standards, and raising the bar were the key to bring self awareness. The feedback exercise was an eye opener towards the end. Breaking down to coordinates and mind's association for action. Ownership and Accountability filled the room. An Inspiring Encounter with Dr. Radhakrishnan Pillai It was an absolute pleasure to meet and interact with best-selling author Dr. Radhakrishnan Pillai. His engaging talk was a treasure trove of simple yet profound thoughts, offering deep insights into his journey and the wisdom behind his renowned book, Corporate Chanakya. Dr. Pillai's emphasis on the importance of educating our young adults resonated deeply with me.
