Hello, Position :- Business Analyst Work location: NI/NY (Hybrid mode) Duration:  06-12 Months Contract   · My day usually starts with status meetings with Frank, followed by a meeting with the PM. · In these meetings, I provide updates on my daily work status, including pending and in-progress tasks. · My primary focus is on new requirements for WSJ and Barron's, followed by Marketwatch and FNPEN · Based on these requirements, I have meetings with business stakeholders to take notes and write the BRD. ·I will work closely and monitor the process, capturing requirements until the BRD is approved by the business. Once approved, I will schedule meetings with developers and application owners and create Jiras accordingly. · If flowcharts are needed, I work on creating them. · I have almost daily meetings with developers and testers to address questions from both ends. Additionally, I handle Jira tickets assigned by the Customer Center team, business, testers, and developers for any pending items or information needed. · Depending on the Jiras, I sometimes perform E2E testing, provide approval, and pass it on to the testers for signoff. · Sometimes, I am assigned to large projects that include E2E redesigns. · 1 am responsible for four applications, and anything related to them is assigned to me accordingly. Each application has different owners, so effective communication is crucial. · Apart from these four applications, I am occasionally pulled in to capture requirements based on needs identified by Frank. To all the Salesforce Presales & Solution Architecture Community Members - Please be careful while joining a "certain type of companies" as a Presales Consultant/Solution Architect in Salesforce. You might think that in those companies you will get good exposure of working with rock solid technical architects and leadership team. Get exposure to directly talk to customers, do demos, brainstrom on solutions, participate in the events like Dreamforce and World Tour Essentials in US, work closely with customers in the onsite location for digital transformation projects in CRM. But no, nothing will happen. You will just remain as a PPT guy & a human robot to create "quick half baked proposal document" just because your company's leadership Team and Sales Team sitting in US/UK/EU has committed to customer to submit the proposal by just 1 or 2 days and they ( mostly Sales Team) don't even understand a single bit of Salesforce Solutioning. And they just want to use you as a offshore backend guy. You will remain frustrated and you would start thinking that you don't even deserve to be a good Solution Engineer/Architect in Salesforce. Your self esteem will shattered and you will feel lost in the marriad of corporate politics and bullies (Yes, litteraly I mean to say this). Speak to ex-employees and current employees over Linkedin, check Glassdoor ratings (If it has minimum 500 ratings), check the leadership team and Presales Head profiles in Linkedin, check with Salesforce AEs in India if you know them personally to know about that company and take a consise decision. In those companies, you will mostly find toxicity, corporate bullies & politics, seniors using you for backend GTM activities, PPT Presentation, demo creation but they will fly to US/UK/AUS and do just postman stuff and you will just remain sitting at your home/office thinking that I can do this stuff but why I am not getting this opportunity. You will be getting usless feedbacks from your seniors which has nothing to do with your work or expertise improvement. Thankfully, in YASH Technologies Salesforce Practice I find exactly opposite of what I have written in above paragraph. But to get into such a company, I have to swtich multiple times. Switching multiple times can hamper your profile which has significantly done to my profile as well so I would not advise this to many. Always remember maintaing peace, upskilling, getting opportunities to work and learn, leaderships' confidence/trust on you, self-respect and self-esteem are very important to sustain in a corporate job for long term. Keep learning and keep motivating yourself. P.S.: This is a general awareness post and nothing to do with my past companies. All my ex-companies were good and bad in some aspects however I have left those companies for professional growth reasons. P.S.S: This is not a PR Post as well.
