CNG gas stations in Mumbai are crowded with #Ola/ #uber cabs, rickshaws, etc. Unfortunately, most cabs don’t show the low CNG indicator very well, due to poor car maintenance. A driver is taking anywhere between 20-25 mins to refill CNG due to a long queue and is often happening (during the ride) as last minute detours to CNG station. This happened to me yesterday - my cab driver took a detour to refill CNG and it costed us extra 30 minutes to complete the trip. Both of us were not happy as the traffic hours were to start. I was wondering what does it take Ola and Uber to introduce a feature which protects both cab driver and the customer from this sour experience. Given advancements in Data science, AI and IoT technologies, what are the options?

E-Rickshaws in Jaipur: A Call for Balanced Policy Implementation 🚦🌱 Today’s news from Dainik Bhaskar highlights the Jaipur RTO’s decision to enforce licensing and fitness requirements for e-rickshaws starting January 1, 2025. While regulation is important, it raises serious concerns about execution and its impact on thousands of e-rickshaw drivers: 🛑 Licensing Delays Since 2016: For years, drivers have been issued only learner’s licenses that expire due to the unavailability of permanent license software. Now, with just 1 month and 10 days remaining, how will 40,000 e-rickshaw drivers meet the requirements, especially with limited working days and public holidays? 🛑 Unclear Zone-Wise Plans: Since 2018, meetings have repeatedly proposed zone-wise e-rickshaw operation, yet no clear zoning structure has been implemented. Without clarity, how can drivers operate confidently or efficiently? 🛑 Targeting Public Transport Instead of Promoting It: E-rickshaws are eco-friendly public transport, vital for reducing personal vehicle use in Jaipur. Penalizing drivers with fines up to ₹20,000 while their basic needs like parking, charging stations, and route clarity remain unresolved is counterproductive. Public transport restrictions lead to increased personal vehicle use, worsening traffic congestion and pollution. My Suggestion: 🚋 Instead of restricting e-rickshaws, the government should: ✅ Promote public transport: Encourage e-rickshaws to reduce personal vehicle dependency. ✅ Expand EV infrastructure: Build adequate parking and charging stations to support electric mobility. ✅ Rethink zoning policies: Zones might not solve traffic issues and could create more confusion. ✅ Focus on heritage preservation: As a heritage city, Jaipur should prioritize electric public transport to align with its global image. E-rickshaws are not the problem; they are part of the solution for sustainable mobility. I urge government officials to rethink their policies and support public transport for a better future. If I’m wrong, I’m open to correction and discussion. While the document sheds light on general guidelines on filing the report, Page 4 will redirect you to sector wise material guidance. ISubject: Urgent: Request for Fair Support for South Indian Automotive Content Creators I am writing to express my deep frustration and disappointment regarding the lack of support we have been receiving as automotive content creators based in South India, specifically in Telangana. Since May 2nd, I have been persistently following up with Neon Motors, Boduppal, but the response has been disheartening. The complex and bureaucratic procedures have led to no productive outcome. Despite me running a company with an annual revenue of up to 15 crores, my genuine interest in reviewing the amazing 3x0 vehicle has been overlooked. In stark contrast, content creators in North India seem to receive ample support, including invitations to manufacturing units. For instance, Force Motors provided their new release G Door Gurkha for a whole day with just a single call form me. It is incredibly frustrating that Neon Motors is unwilling to provide a similar opportunity for the 3x0 vehicle. After two months of follow-up, they only agreed to a showroom review, which is insufficient as we intended to conduct a comprehensive review in a picturesque outdoor location. Our request was modest—just 4 to 5 hours with the vehicle for an outdoor review. It is disheartening to see such reluctance, especially when Force Motors was so accommodating. This lack of support feels unjust, especially given our dedication to producing high-quality content in our native language. I urge you to recognize the potential and dedication of South Indian automotive content creators. We are no less than our counterparts in other regions, and we strive to provide valuable insights and reviews to our audience. It is truly saddening to experience such disparity in support. I sincerely hope this situation is addressed and that we receive the support we deserve. We are passionate about our work and only seek to share our enthusiasm and knowledge with our audience.
