In its latest financial stability report released this week, Reserve Bank of India (RBI) says its approach of balancing growth and stability, 'with willingness to take proactive and prudent actions to prevent accumulation of risks,' is boosting stability of financial system. Gross bad loans as a share of overall loans at banks declined to 2.8% last fiscal, a multi-year low, the report added. Female labour force participation rate (LFPR) increased in almost all states in India during 2017-18 to 2022-23, with rural areas seeing larger gains than urban areas Rural female LFPR rose to 41.5 per cent (~69 per cent growth) from 24.6 per cent during 2017-18 to 2022-23, while urban LFPR rose to 25.4 per cent from 20.4 per cent. Various government schemes such as Mudra loans, the Drone Didi scheme and Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana, which have been focused on women-led development. A new working paper released by the Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister (EAC-PM) stated. Bihar, Punjab, Haryana record low female LFPR, N-E states show improvement. Investing in higher education for women, therefore, emerges as a strategic approach to unlocking the full potential of the female workforce. By promoting educational attainment, society can ensure that more women not only enter the workforce but also thrive in roles that fully utilize their skills and capabilities.

#DiptiDeshpande and I assess prospects of private consumption reival in the current fiscal. Three factors that will support near term revival of private consumtion are: 1) Improved agroculture, 2) lower food inflation and 3) government spend on empoyment generating and asset creating schemes.
