SpiceJet Limited - deciding to never fly SpiceJet again. Your operations and customer communications need a significant rehaul. DGCA India Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) please note. My brother and sister-in-law had booked a SpiceJet flight for 6:40 am, August 13, 2024. Flight details: SG 8536 Delhi to Bangalore PNR: GEZHFG We were aware of your notorious history of delays, hence, chose an early morning flight to minimise that risk. Here are the sequence of actions you took: 1. On Friday, 2nd August - you decided to reschedule the flight to 7:40 pm on August 13. Since they needed to be in Bangalore on Tuesday, they took the option given by you to advance their flight to 7:40 pm on Sunday, 11th August 2. SG 8151- The 7:40 pm flight on Sunday, 11th August. Google started showing beginning noon on that day that the flight is delayed and will take off at 1:30 am on Monday, 12th August. They called your customer care many times on Sunday, 11th August to cross check / validate but till 4 pm they were told by your customer care staff that there is no delay and the flight is on time. 3. When they finally left home and reached the airport - you casually sent a message at 5:10 pm that the flight is delayed to 03:35 am on Monday, 12th August. 4. They booked a hotel near the airport so they could catch some sleep. They again checked with you around 1 am on Monday, 12th August if the flight is on time and your customer care staff said yes. 5. Again, upon reaching the airport at around 1:45 am on Monday, 12th August - you sent a message that the flight has been delayed from 03:35 am to 6:40 am. They had to spend the entire night at the airport. This flight was also delayed and took off post 7 am (the fact that you can’t even run an early morning flight on time is a learning that’ll help my future decision-making) Almost a 12 hour delay - overnight. The ordeal that they had to go through just because you chose to not let customers know in advance and let them suffer - is inexplicable. These are corporate employees who need to work on a Monday. No compensation ofcourse - they ended up paying for their hotel near the airport, additional taxi expenses and for dinner and breakfast at the airport. The least you could have done was to arrange food for these passengers at the airport. I’m amazed that you are still in business.

Key Points Loan Default Vijay Mallya took loans worth approximately ₹9,000 crores from a consortium of 17 banks led by the State Bank of India (SBI). These loans were ostensibly for Kingfisher Airlines but were reportedly diverted to other ventures. Irregularities and Allegations Mallya was accused of providing inadequate collateral and inflating the valuation of Kingfisher Airlines to secure loans. Ather's FY23 revenue surged 4.36X to Rs 1,784 crore, while losses grew 2.5X to Rs 864.5 crore. Ather held a 9.45% market share in May.   3. For instance, a Mumbai-New York flight scheduled for 1:40 am on August 31, 2024, saw over a two-hour delay, with passengers eventually boarding by 2:00 pm. Such occurrences have left many questioning whether the airline can sustain its competitive edge, especially with growing competition in the international market. The root cause of these delays lies in various operational and engineering issues. Frequent technical dispatch reliability problems, poor crew planning, and aircraft shortage are among the primary reasons cited by industry insiders. Moreover, while Air India offers the fastest and most direct routes between India and North America, customer experience is suffering due to these prolonged delays, often spanning several hours. But the Akasa Air crew had other plans. The exceptional crew - Pratik, Vishal, Rafael, and Mithila - showed what I always tell my clients: Excellence Lies in the details. Their: - Energetic "Good Morning" greetings - Attentive service delivery - Genuine warmth - Contagious enthusiasm All combined to create an unforgettable experience. Shockingly incompetent and unsympathetic customer service at Delhi International Airport Ltd! Varun Channa | Sanjiv Kapur I lost my passport card holder containing important documents while traveling from Delhi to Singapore on Sunday. I called the T3 customer support at 9958098651 to report my lost belongings, and after an excruciating 10 minutes to explain the situation to the agent, I was told they have found it and that I could have it collected by someone on my behalf. Today, my father went to the airport with my authorization letter, boarding pass, and passport copy, only to be told that the item was not found. An airport staff member named “Himanshu” had returned some other lost item, and that was the reference number I had been given. The support agent had lazily searched for “Himanshu” and provided whatever information she found without understanding the issue at hand. Why would the person who returned lost items, also call to claim it? I called today again to verify, hoping this was all a silly mistake. This time, another support agent took my call and simply told me that they don’t have my lost belongings. When I asked how they knew, her response was that she had searched by my name and nothing came up. I pointed out that the person who returned it might not have opened it to discern my identity. Ultimately, I was told to file an FIR and that there was nothing she could do. Her annoyance at my legitimate questions was palpable, and she became increasingly rude. There was absolutely no empathy. This is such a sorry state of affairs. How on earth is a legitimate owner supposed to claim their belongings from such incompetent folks?
