𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗥𝗕𝗤𝗠: Risk-Based Quality Management (RBQM) in clinical trials is a strategic approach focusing on identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks that could impact the quality and integrity of a trial. It emphasizes proactive risk management throughout the trial lifecycle. Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) are metrics used to monitor potential risks, while Quality Tolerance Limits (QTLs) are predefined thresholds that trigger actions when exceeded. KRIs help in the early identification of issues, and QTLs ensure that the trial remains within acceptable quality boundaries. Together, they facilitate efficient resource allocation, enhance data quality, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Here are some examples of KRIs and QTLs used in clinical trials: 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗥𝗶𝘀𝗸 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 (𝗞𝗥𝗜𝘀): --𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒕𝒐𝒄𝒐𝒍 𝑫𝒆𝒗𝒊𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔: The number or frequency of deviations from the study protocol. --𝑷𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝑬𝒏𝒓𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝑹𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒔: Monitoring the rate at which patients are enrolled in the study compared to planned timelines. --𝑨𝒅𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒆 𝑬𝒗𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝑹𝒆𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈: The frequency and severity of adverse events reported during the trial. --𝑫𝒂𝒕𝒂 𝑸𝒖𝒆𝒓𝒚 𝑹𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒔: The number of queries raised during data verification processes. 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗧𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘀 (𝗤𝗧𝗟𝘀): --𝑷𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝑫𝒓𝒐𝒑𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝑹𝒂𝒕𝒆: A predefined percentage of patient dropouts that, if exceeded, triggers a review or corrective action. --𝑫𝒂𝒕𝒂 𝑬𝒏𝒕𝒓𝒚 𝑻𝒊𝒎𝒆𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔: The maximum allowable delay for entering data into the trial database after a patient visit. --𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒕𝒐𝒄𝒐𝒍 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒍𝒊𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝑹𝒂𝒕𝒆: A threshold for the percentage of visits conducted according to the protocol. --𝑨𝒅𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒆 𝑬𝒗𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝑻𝒉𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒉𝒐𝒍𝒅: A specific number or rate of serious adverse events that, if reached, necessitates an investigation. These examples illustrate how KRIs and QTLs are used to monitor trial performance and maintain quality standards. Celebrating Indian Telugu Heritage Through AI-Powered Poetry Technology is most impactful when it reaches the common person, regardless of their familiarity with specific tools or languages. WhatsApp is a prime example, as it became widely accessible across India, overcoming barriers of technical skills and English language preference. On this Deepavali, inspired by my favorite Telugu poet, Bammera Potana, I experimented with generating Telugu poem through GEN AI. In one of his timeless verses, Potana uses rich Telugu idioms and unique units of measurement to vividly illustrate Trivikrama’s divine form growing, step by step, to fill every corner of the universe. His words evoke not just an expansion in size but a transcendence beyond all boundaries, immersing us in the grandeur of divine power and purpose. Fridea 5: What does light signify to you? In Tata Consultancy Services, we are running the 3rd edition of #TCS AI Industry Symposiums. Today was the Day 2/7 and in the introductory note, I wished everybody on the festival of "Karthigai Deepam" and gave a pitch on Light & Learning. Sharing it here in my #linkedin network as well with a question. Today, during this festival, we light lamps, mainly those made of mud all around the house and offer prayers and eat some interesting food that is made only during this festival :-) Light signifies many things to many people. To me this festival means 2 things: 1. Livelihood: More we buy those mud lamps, more we help those making those lamps, giving them business. 3. Limitless possibilities of learning and sharing: There is no darkness when there is light. There is no ignorance if there is learning. Learning is an enabler.
