This is very unprofessional. It does not seem like a school where kids should be sent to put their future at risk. I understand that there would be more to the other side of the story, but this isn't good whatever the case may be. This also gives us a glimpse into how the schools are becoming business-oriented and run by greedy school owners to mint money. I really feel sorry for the principals for most private schools where they now don't have much of a say in deciding what's best for the students and teachers. The Union Budget 2024 is a game changer for India's educational infrastructure with a $17 billion allocation! But there's more—digital connectivity and tech adoption are set to transform education, and upskilling sectors. As we move towards 'Viksit Bharat,' strengthening our digital infrastructure is crucial. Yet, I feel there's still a bit of a gap when it comes to overseas education support. Increasing financial aid and reducing loan interest rates for studying abroad would ease the financial burden for many study abroad aspirants as well. The budget also extends a line of incentives to the International Finance Services Centre (IFSC) at GIFT City in Gujarat, enhancing the ease of doing business within the IFSC. Our operations from GIFT City have already been a game changer, and these incentives will surely open up more avenues for international institutions to set up offices, boosting partnerships and collaborations. It aims to equip students with real-world problem-solving skills, making them more adaptable and ready for global opportunities. The policy also pushes institutions to offer multidisciplinary learning, which helps students gain diverse skill sets essential for the workforce. The IDP by UGC calls for colleges to modernize their curriculum, enhance research, and strengthen industry connections. This effort ensures that students are ready for global challenges by focusing not just on theoretical knowledge but on practical applications. Institutions are encouraged to work closely with industries to provide students with hands-on experience, thereby improving both learning outcomes and employability. AICTE’s initiatives further complement these efforts, focusing on experiential learning and entrepreneurship. Programs like the AICTE-IDEA Lab promote hands-on, STEM-based learning, while innovation hubs and startup incubation centers encourage students to apply what they learn to real-world scenarios. These initiatives not only prepare students for the job market but also foster an entrepreneurial mindset. Building a strong institutional brand through enhanced industry partnerships, improved placement rates, and global exposure is key to attracting both students and top employers.
