Merak MeetStreet in Gurgaon was one for the books! 💯 Reflecting on our journey with MeetStreet, we've now hosted 5 events across 5 different cities, shortlisting 52 businesses from a large pool of registrations. Each edition has highlighted the innovative spirit of early-stage founders, yet some challenges resonate universally. The recent surge in redevelopment policies, such as the increase in Floor Space Index (FSI) and the reduction of premiums up to 50%, has sparked considerable interest in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) redevelopment market. This sudden influx of favourable policies has generated curiosity among developers, leading to a flurry of activity in the real estate market. Furthermore, ongoing and upcoming state elections has resulted in some gear shifting which has added to the urgency within the industry. The transition has resulted in a surge in demand for Transferable Development Rights (TDRs) in the market, prompting developers to expedite their activities to avoid potential challenges in the project launches and construction timelines. The heightened demand for TDRs has led to a significant spike in prices, with rates soaring from 50% to as high as 105% of RR rate recently. However, this sudden surge is expected to normalize soon, with prices stabilizing at around 85-90% of the RR rate as the market adjusts to the new dynamics and the regulatory environment.

Property Share becomes the first SM REIT to file a DRHP for a scheme. Key Highlights: 1. Fund Raise Size - INR 353 Cr 2. Asset - Prestige Tech Platina, Bangalore 3. Expected Yield - 9% (FY26) 4. Management Fees - Investment Manager to take max 0.3% of Fund Raise as fees, first year is waived 5. Acquisition Fees - 1.5% Shall be keenly following this one, as it will set the template for other SM REITs in pipeline. Raised $26,000,000 with just an idea Lyskraft India Pvt Ltd - the latest kid in the block! So, Mukesh Bansal is back with another startup this time with Mohit Gupta, the former CEO of Zomato's food delivery arm. In July of last year, there were reports about Bansal and Gupta raising funds for a new venture. As per TechCrunch, both of them pitched a range of ideas to potential backers like a female-focused counterpart to Manyavar and "Infosys 2.0" a presumed upgrade to a multinational IT services and consulting firm. Now finally... The news is out and we know what they are building, Lyskraft: initially a women's only marketplace for premium brands mostly focusing on Gen-Z shoppers.
