Continuing with our series of "Films of Influence" Womenite presents you with another movie review and how it impacted the audience! I am thrilled to share the exciting news about our next big initiative 'Toyow Podmasters presented by HT Smartcast and Fever'. The podcasting industry is experiencing an unprecedented boom, with an estimated 424.2 million podcast listeners worldwide as of 2023. In India alone, the podcast audience is expected to grow at a CAGR of 34.5%, reaching over 90 million listeners by 2025. Podcasts have become a powerful tool for storytelling, education, and brand engagement, attracting more and more interest from brands looking to connect with diverse audiences in authentic ways. The growing interest from brands in podcasting highlights the immense potential and reach of this industry. In India, the podcast listening audience skews young. The average age is around 20-21 years, with Gen Z listeners making up the biggest cohort. Here's another Q&A with a remarkable events team member, Prajesh Chhanabhai, co-creator of our Virtual Coach Connect series, bringing our community together in a whole new way. 🎉 ☕What brought you to coaching? What brought me to coaching? Honestly, it’s the kind of question that makes me pause and smile because it’s rooted in a series of "aha!" moments in my life. You know that feeling when you’re standing at a crossroads and think, "Something’s gotta give, but where do I even start?" That was me, and it’s a feeling I saw in so many others, too. After years of working in education and mentoring young people as they transitioned into adulthood, I realised something big: people often have the vision, but the first step towards that vision trips them up. That’s when I decided I didn’t just want to guide people; I wanted to help them take charge and move forward. Hence, Phambili Coaching was born. (Fun fact: "Phambili" means "move forward" in Zulu, how fitting, right?) For me, coaching is all about mindset. You can’t move forward if you don’t know where you’re standing. Once that awareness clicks, things start to shift, priorities become clearer, procrastination fades, and confidence builds. I’ve seen it happen with everyone from students to CEOs, and it never gets old. What’s wild is how coaching is never just about the individual. When one person changes, it ripples out, families, teams, whole communities feel it. That’s what lights me up. It’s like being part of this invisible domino effect, and I get to help push the first one over. At the end of the day, coaching for me is about taking that first step with people, showing them they’re not alone, and helping them create momentum. It’s my way of making a difference, one step forward at a time. ☕ What do you like about volunteering for ICF NZ? Connecting with a whole range of coaches from around the motu that i would not cross paths with in real life, also working with Kate Campion to bring events that not only empower but also allow coaches to connect. The empowerment piece is important to me as many times in NZ we sit in silo's of information, knowledge and experience. By bringing coaches into a virtual room once a week I love seeing the empowerment through connection. ☕How would you describe your coaching style in 3 words? Mindset, Language and Growth ☕What advice would you give your younger self? I love this question, because I could give you all the answers that we hear from the motivational reels on TikTok, IG etc.. my simple piece of advice to my younger self is "Don't rush to grow up" ☕What’s your favorite podcast, book or tv series...?
