But time, when wasted, slips away silently, leaving only regrets. This makes time the most precious asset. It teaches us the importance of presence, prioritization, and purpose. Guard it fiercely, cherish it deeply, and use it deliberately. Because while time is free, its value is truly priceless.

Good Perception And Positive Disposition To The Application Of Feedback Analysis In Reviving And Repositioning Underperforming Business/Organisation For Optional Performance And Incredible Results.............. Moment of Leadership Ingenuity and Unimaginable Concomitant change in business Fortune.............Practical Business Scenario to reflect on . A high performing oil servicing firm suddenly found itself in a business Gridlock and was on a brink of collapse when a Lifeline 5year contract for Turnaround Maintenance from a Refinery sprang up . Constrained by time, the CEO of the oil servicing firm called for an Emergency Management meeting for Brainstorming and Packaging of Technically Rich Proposal for the contract which sadly generated nothing meaningful .Worst still, a Line Manager who had the Requisite Solution being sought for having worked in a firm that had previously executed similar contract was shut down by some Top Management Team who felt he had nothing good to present. However, the Unimaginable Twist happened when the CEO of the firm during his Daily Self Performance and Energy Usage Assessment Excercise felt the Guilt of the Management's Impetuous act in Suffocating the Line Manager who may perhaps have the Right Key to what they are looking for, quickly sourced his contact, called him ,apologised to him and asked him to report to his office with his proposal. After listening to his submission, the CEO of the firm in amazement exclaimed ! Awesome, rose to his feet, hug the young man and whispered into his ear...thanks for saving us . They eventually secured the 5year contract and became one of the successful oil servicing firms in their clime . That was how the CEO of the firm in applying Feedback Analysis by Peter Drucker saved his firm from extinction and as well, revive , reposition and transform it .

Is Common Sense Diminishing? A Shift Towards Group Identity and Responsibility The notion of common sense—basic, practical judgment shared by most people—is evolving. While common sense might remain within specific fields, such as a mechanic’s intuitive knowledge of cars, it seems to be fading in broader contexts. What’s truly diminishing is not just common sense but original thought and individual learning. As society becomes more fragmented by identity politics and groupthink, the emphasis on personal responsibility and critical thinking weakens. A growing trend, particularly among younger generations, is the desire for moral authority and unearned respect by aligning with specific groups. This phenomenon allows individuals to adopt the group’s moral standing without personal effort or growth. Questioning these collective beliefs often leads to accusations of immorality, reinforcing group loyalty at the expense of individual reflection. This trend leads to significant issues. First, it creates a disconnect from humanity, where people cease to view others—such as police, politicians, or marginalized groups—as individuals with complex qualities. Instead, they become symbols of systems or problems. Second, it encourages a split between outward virtue signaling and private behavior. People may publicly espouse one set of values while privately engaging in contradictory actions, as seen in issues like human trafficking. The solution lies in promoting individual responsibility and independent thought. By fostering tough, honest conversations and encouraging people to see one another as individuals, we can rebuild common sense and create a society where differing views are respected. This shift would enhance dialogue, restore mutual understanding, and help common sense thrive once again.

In a recent workshop I was observing leaders having tough conversations with Team Members on behavioural issues like absenteeism and high after-call work time. One common theme emerged - many leaders tended to “take the monkey” during these discussions. This means they take on accountability to solve challenging issues that should be addressed by the team member. To drive behavioural change effectively, leaders must outline specific steps for change and emphasize the importance of team accountability. When steps are clear and written down like a recipe, resistance decreases, and accountability increases. Remember, leaders should avoid consistently “taking the monkey”. Encouraging accountability and clarity in conversations leads to positive outcomes. The Hidden Face of Anger Anger is often misunderstood. Many see it as an outburst or a flaw, but in truth, it is frequently a mask for something deeper—hurt. For those who experience it, anger can be a defense mechanism, a way of expressing pain that words fail to capture. When you’re hurt but feel unheard, anger becomes a voice. It’s not just about frustration; it’s a reflection of emotional wounds that have been ignored or invalidated. The challenge is that people rarely see the pain behind the anger. Instead of understanding, they judge or distance themselves, leaving the person feeling even more isolated. This cycle of hurt and anger perpetuates until it’s broken by compassion—either from others or from within. Healing starts when someone recognizes the pain beneath the surface, offering empathy instead of criticism. It’s also about learning to process that hurt in healthier ways, so anger no longer becomes the default response. For those who’ve felt misunderstood in their anger, remember: your emotions are valid. Pain deserves acknowledgment, not suppression. With self-awareness and the right support, you can break the cycle and find ways to express hurt without anger taking over.

The senior leader without authority: Ashok’s story Ashok, a respected Unit Head and expert in the manufacturing industry, was admired for his skills and leadership. Yet, behind the title, he faced mounting frustration that ultimately led to his sudden resignation. Despite his senior role, Ashok had little authority. Every decision—be it budget approvals or process improvements or procurement—was delayed by layers of bureaucracy. Even hiring was beyond his control. Worse, operators bypassed him to raise concerns directly with the Managing Director, who engaged with them instead of redirecting matters to Ashok. This constant undermining eroded his credibility and authority. Ashok often found himself apologizing to customers for delays and issues beyond his control, which resulted in a loss of trust from both customers and employees, ultimately leading to the departure of key performers. Frustrated and powerless, he realized his role had become symbolic rather than impactful. He resigned with immediate effect, even though he was required to serve a three-month notice period. Ashok’s story was not an isolated case. Two other senior management leaders faced similar struggles. Ramesh, the General Manager, also encountered constant interference and delays from higher-ups, despite his extensive expertise. Similarly, Amit, one of the seniors and a HOD, was often sidelined in crucial decision-making processes, undermining his ability to lead effectively. All three leaders felt disempowered and disengaged, leading to their departures. Their resignations, all within the span of a month, left the organization both shocked and struggling. These stories serve as a powerful reminder: when leaders are stripped of trust and autonomy, even the best talent walks away. Have you witnessed a similar situation? Pain Changes People: The Impact of Hurt on Human Transformation Pain is a powerful force that shapes people in ways both visible and unseen. When someone experiences hurt—be it physical, emotional, or psychological—it can alter their perspectives, behavior, and relationships. Often, this transformation is irreversible, leaving lasting marks on the individual and those around them. Hurt can lead to growth, as some people develop resilience, empathy, and strength from their struggles. However, it also has the potential to foster bitterness, distrust, and emotional withdrawal. People who endure pain may become defensive, wary of vulnerability, or unwilling to trust again. These changes are not choices—they are survival mechanisms. The statement, “If you don’t want people to change, don’t hurt them,” underscores the profound responsibility we have in our interactions with others. Avoiding hurt doesn’t mean avoiding honesty or difficult conversations; it means approaching others with care, empathy, and respect. By choosing kindness and compassion, we reduce the likelihood of causing unnecessary pain and allow relationships to flourish without the shadow of harm. Ultimately, while pain is an inevitable part of life, we have the power to minimize the harm we cause to others. In doing so, we foster environments where growth is nurtured by love, not suffering.

Two Ways to Be Fooled: A Reflection on Søren Kierkegaard’s Insight Philosopher Søren Kierkegaard once said, “There are two ways to be fooled. One is to accept what is not true; the other is to refuse to accept what is true.” This powerful observation highlights two common traps that people fall into when navigating life’s complexities. The first way to be fooled is accepting falsehoods. Whether through misinformation, deception, or misunderstanding, believing something that isn’t true can lead to poor decisions and misguided actions. In business, personal relationships, or even in our beliefs, embracing false narratives can distort reality, causing long-term damage. It’s essential to question and critically evaluate information before accepting it as truth. The second way to be fooled is more subtle but just as dangerous: refusing to accept the truth. Sometimes, the truth is uncomfortable or inconvenient, so we choose to ignore it. This can be seen when people deny facts that challenge their worldview or avoid facing difficult realities in their personal or professional lives. Yet, denying the truth only delays growth and resolution, often making the consequences worse over time. Kierkegaard’s wisdom reminds us that both gullibility and denial can lead us astray. To avoid being fooled, we must seek truth with an open mind, be willing to challenge falsehoods, and face difficult truths with courage.

Understanding Karma: The Chain of Cause and Effect Karma, rooted in ancient philosophies, is the concept that every action—whether mental or physical—has a corresponding consequence. This idea extends beyond just our present lives, suggesting that our actions today are connected to outcomes not only in this life but also in future incarnations. At its core, karma is about the moral chain of cause and effect. Positive actions, driven by compassion and integrity, tend to generate positive outcomes, while negative actions, such as harming or manipulating others, often lead to suffering or misfortune. This principle encourages mindfulness in our actions, as each choice we make contributes to the fabric of our lives and those around us. The essence of karma is a reminder that nothing occurs in isolation. When we push others around or engage in harmful behavior, we are not only affecting those individuals but also setting the stage for the consequences that will inevitably follow. This interconnectedness urges us to act with awareness and empathy, recognizing that our deeds shape the world we inhabit. In summary, karma teaches us that our actions have weight.
