As a part of our efforts to give back to the society we operate in, we are supporting the education of 50 children at the NGO, Children Home in Chennai. Earlier this week our Hospital Information System (HIS) India team employees went to the NGO and spent quality time with the children. The team led by Marimuthu Irulappan and Prabhakaran R organized educational workshops for the children and also distributed essential supplies. Making a positive impact in our community matters to our employees. We are proud to support the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in writing their newly published working paper and collaborating on activities to enhance the Digital Health Financing ecosystem of selected Developing Member Countries. The paper offers a roadmap for using digital technologies to revolutionize health financing systems and achieve Universal Health Coverage (UHC). It introduces a comprehensive evaluation matrix to help countries assess their capabilities, identify gaps, and chart actionable reforms. Here's what the paper unfolds: 𝑫𝒊𝒈𝒊𝒕𝒂𝒍 𝑰𝒏𝒏𝒐𝒗𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔: AI-powered claims management, mobile health apps (e.g., India’s Ayushman Bharat, Indonesia’s Mobile JKN), and interoperable systems improve efficiency, transparency, and fraud prevention. 𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒔 𝑰𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒇𝒊𝒆𝒅: Gaps in infrastructure, governance, digital literacy, and non-robust data privacy frameworks that prove a bottleneck to progress. 𝑾𝒂𝒚 𝑭𝒐𝒓𝒘𝒂𝒓𝒅: Tailored digital reforms across governance, advanced analytics, and citizen-centric services to build sustainable, equitable health systems. This publication takes a unique approach by promoting cross-learning through highlighting best practices and lessons learned from countries with mature Digital Health Financing Systems.
