A step forward in driving sustainable energy solutions! Sh. Paresh R. Ranpara, Director (HR), GRID-INDIA, & Prof. Nikhil Tambe, IIT Madras, unveiled the book "Accelerating Net Zero" by the Energy Consortium, IIT Madras, at India Energy Week 2025 today at Yashobhoomi, Dwarka, New Delhi. The book features a pivotal article: "Dynamic Power Pricing in Electricity Markets: Digital Energy Transition Towards Sustainability, Security, and Reliability" by Prof. K. Shanti Swarup, Faculty at Electrical Engineering, IIT Madras. During the launch, Director (HR) highlighted GRID-INDIA’s pivotal role in RE integration and advancing grid innovations to achieve India’s Net Zero goals. WRLDC, GRID-INDIA successfully hosted a Vendor Development Program (VDP) from January 22-23, 2025 in Mumbai! This initiative aimed to empower Micro & Small Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), with a special focus on SC/ST & women-led businesses. The program included interactive sessions, workshops, and one-on-one meetings, offering valuable insights and networking opportunities with GRID-INDIA's procurement team. A compendium of collaboration between ERLDC GRID-INDIA and the State Load Despatch Centres (SLDCs) of Eastern Region was unveiled by Shri Paresh R. Ranpara, Director (HR) GRID-INDIA at Kolkata on 7th January, 2025. The compendium highlights the collaboration between Load Despatch Centres at Regional and State Level in Eastern Region for addressing unique challenges posed by diverse power system profiles. It also acknowledges the enabling environment provided by the Regional Power Committee (ERPC). The report takes everyone through 36 visits made by ERLDC to the SLDCs in 36 months for interaction on key focus areas. Such collaborative approach is need of the hour and this initiative marks a tiny step forward, paving the way for a robust strategic alliance. This recognition is for his exceptional contribution to power system operations. Under his leadership, key power sector achievements include SCED (₹4000 Cr savings), cybersecurity in the Indian Electricity Grid Code (2023), PFR testing (85 GW), and AGC rollout for 70,000 MW, enhancing grid efficiency & India’s global energy expertise. GRID-INDIA’s North Eastern Regional Load Despatch Centre (NERLDC), Guwahati/ Shillong, has been honoured with "The 4th LDC Excellence Award 2024" in the Regional Load Despatch category! The award was presented at the 23rd NPSC at IIT Indore on Dec 14, 2024.
