We are incredibly proud to share that our Professor Manoj Kumar Panigrahi, Ph.D. has contributed a thought-provoking chapter to the book "Polycrisis and Economic Development in the Global South", edited by Prof. (Dr.) Hebatallah Adam and Professor Ravinder Rena. His chapter, titled "Impact of the Cross-Strait Relations Tensions on Global South: The Case of China and Taiwan", addresses a critical and timely question: Did switching diplomatic relations from Taiwan to China between 2016 and 2022 truly benefit countries in terms of increased exports? In this insightful work, Professor Manoj examines whether the promises of higher trade volumes with China were fulfilled for these nations, offering a detailed analysis of the complex relationship between global diplomacy and economic outcomes.
