How do we ensure that India's demographic dividend becomes a lasting talent advantage? This important question was at the heart of the CII Haryana 1st CXO Roundtable & Policy SamVaad 2026-27, organised today at CII Gurugram office, under the theme "Future Workforce Readiness – Building India's Talent Advantage." Organised under the aegis of the CII Haryana Special Task Force on "Future-Ready Haryana", the programme was a platform for dialogue on preparing India's workforce for a rapidly evolving economy. The discussions reflected a broad consensus that workforce readiness is no longer just an HR priority – it is central to business competitiveness, productivity, innovation, and India's aspiration of becoming a developed nation. Some of the key priorities emerging from the deliberations included: 🔸Adopting a people-centric approach to reskilling and upskilling the existing workforce as AI and automation reshape jobs and workplaces. 🔸Encouraging greater industry-led initiatives in apprenticeships, experiential learning, and continuous workforce development. 🔸Building a stronger policy and institutional ecosystem, with Government, industry, academia, and skilling institutions working together to accelerate skilling, reskilling, and lifelong learning. 🔸Developing customised training and skilling models that prepare both new entrants and the existing workforce for emerging technologies, advanced manufacturing, digital transformation, and next-generation business models. 🔸 Strengthening industry preparedness by building future-ready technical, digital, behavioural, and leadership capabilities across the workforce. 🔸Strengthening industry-academia collaboration to ensure curricula, vocational education, and training programmes remain aligned with evolving industry requirements. The recommendations emerging from the CXO Roundtable and Policy SamVaad will be consolidated and taken forward through CII's continued policy advocacy and engagement with Government and other stakeholders. #CII4NR #FutureOfWork #WorkforceReadiness #TalentAdvantage #PolicyDialogue #FutureSkills CIIEvents | Vinay Dhingra | R K Jain | Dr Chandrasekhar Buddha | Rajiv Kapoor | Abinash Panda | Manoj Gupta
