#ACTuallyAwesome | Achita Khare Achita’s career has been a journey of bold pivots into some of the most dynamic spaces. She started in consumer tech, taking on product growth and marketing roles at startups like Myntra and CRED—where building, scaling, and solving complex challenges kept her hooked. But there came a point when she wanted to apply that same energy to something more fundamental. Her shift to AgroStar, working with farmers, was her first step toward impact. During a project in Arunachal Pradesh she saw firsthand how structural challenges compounded in remote areas. It pushed her to think bigger—about solutions that were effective but also scalable. That’s what drew her to ACT’s venture philanthropy model—a space where entrepreneurial speed meets the depth of social impact. Now, as Fellow, #ACTForHealth, she works with founders tackling some of Bharat's toughest healthcare challenges, helping them sharpen their approach, move with intent, and build for lasting change. At ACT, Achita is known for asking incredibly incisive questions—ones that challenge assumptions, uncover hidden opportunities, and push teams to think sharper. She values resilience and optimism because solving for impact is a long game. Unlike traditional startups, the incentives aren’t always obvious, and the challenges don’t follow a straight path. But the potential to create real, systemic change makes every unknown worth tackling. #CoFoundersOfSocialChange #ThisIsUs

#ACTuallyAwesome | Krisha Mathur Krisha began her career in consulting and financial services. But it's during her MBA, when a pro bono project in social impact sparked a different kind of excitement, leading her to explore a career in impact and healthcare. Drawn to the potential of innovation, she also founded Clinic Didi, a tech-enabled, nurse-led primary care model tackling last-mile healthcare access in Maharashtra. When Krisha first encountered ACT’s work, she was intrigued by the power of a collective to turn ambitious impact ideas into tangible change. Now, as Director, #ACTForHealth, she draws on her experience as a consultant, founder, and strategist to champion bold, scalable healthcare innovations. Her biggest hope is that one day, charity won’t need to exist—not because generosity fades, but because essential services like healthcare and education will be universally accessible, ensuring dignity and equality for all. At ACT, Krisha values ACT’s entrepreneurial spirit, where ownership is shared, bold ideas are encouraged, and opportunities arise out of everyone asking--can this be done differently? #CoFoundersOfSocialChange #ThisIsUs

Today, we mark this day—perhaps because we feel we need to. Maybe it reminds us of how far we’ve come. And maybe, at some level, it keeps us accountable for all that still needs to change. But we hope that one day, we won’t need one day to remind us of women’s rights, needs, and aspirations. Because they’ll be fully embedded in the way we work, lead, and live—every single day. We've come a long way and have miles to go, but with focused intent and action, we believe an equitable future is well within reach! Share this post with what you think an equitable #OneDay for women in India could look like within our lifetimes! 💫 #CoFoundersOfSocialChange #ACTForWomen #IWD2025

#ACTuallyAwesome | Nayonika Jotsinghani Nayonika started as a chartered accountant but soon realised she craved a more interdisciplinary approach to problem-solving. In the classroom, as a Young India Fellow, she realised a passion for behaviour change and wanted to explore it in the social impact space. Seeing rapid innovation in India's startup wave, she was drawn to how technology could transform health outcomes, and wanted to be part of that journey. That’s what led her to ACT, where she now works as Manager, #ACTForHealth, at the intersection of venture philanthropy and healthcare impact. Within health, she’s especially interested in solutions tackling respiratory issues. With rising air pollution affecting daily life, she sees it as an urgent challenge that needs bold solutions. Her biggest hope? A more balanced India—where smaller cities have the infrastructure and opportunities to thrive, easing migration pressure on metros and creating a more equitable quality of life for all. At ACT, she loves how collaboration brings everyone together—across levels and streams of work. Whether brainstorming with leadership or exchanging ideas with peers, everyone is approachable, and fresh perspectives are encouraged. It creates an energising space on the best days and a supportive one on the tough ones, where camaraderie turns challenges into collective problem-solving. #CoFoundersOfSocialChange #ThisIsUs

#ACTuallyAwesome | Diksha Nawany Growing up in Mumbai, Diksha saw stark inequalities all around her, making the need for change feel urgent and obvious. Studying economics deepened her understanding of these complexities, but she was eager to apply that knowledge in real-world settings. She began her career at a startup focused on solving underemployment, then moved to Dasra, where she built and scaled a sanitation advocacy platform and drove collective action. That experience gave her a bird’s-eye view of impact at scale and sparked her curiosity about venture philanthropy. Joining ACT as Fellow, #ACTForHealth was a natural next step, allowing her to explore and support innovative solutions—especially in health, a space that has always been close to her heart. Her biggest hope? More women in leadership roles, not as exceptions but as the norm. Diksha envisions a world where women have equal access to decision-making spaces across sectors. At ACT, Diksha thrives in its culture of distributed leadership. Titles don’t dictate contribution—everyone brings their expertise, from tech to government, to drive change together. The diversity of perspectives, shared ownership, and collective mission make the work all the more powerful. And through it all, Diksha brings a ray of sunshine and positivity to the team, making even the toughest challenges feel a little lighter. #CoFoundersOfSocialChange #ThisIsUs

We’re proud to have supported development of the Kerala Palliative Care Grid through our continued partnership with Open Healthcare Network. Today, we celebrate a major milestone—the official launch by Hon’ble CM Pinarayi Vijayan at the Kerala Legislative Assembly! Palliative care is about dignity, comfort, and holistic support for those with terminal illnesses. With Kerala leading the way in community-driven healthcare, this technology-enabled grid will make high-quality palliative care more accessible and affordable for those who need it most. A huge congratulations to the OHC team and the 800+ open-source contributors who made this possible! #CoFoundersOfSocialChange #ACTForHealth #DigitalPublicGoods #OpenSource
We're thrilled about the first-ever statewide deployment of Care 3.0, powering the "Kerala Care – Palliative Care Grid," inaugurated by Kerala's Hon’ble Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. This marks an exciting new chapter for us at Open Healthcare Network! To effectively support new use-cases like home care in Kerala Care, we had to rebuilt Care from scratch, adopting the FHIR HL7 R5 standards. A massive shoutout to the 800+ open-source contributors who've passionately collaborated over the past 5 years to make Care what it is today. Special thanks to ACT for believing in us from day one and accelerating our journey to this significant milestone. Together, we're not just building software; we're building hope, dignity, and compassion through technology. #OpenHealthcareNetwork #Care3 #OpenSource #FHIR #HealthcareInnovation #KeralaCare #CommunityDriven

#ACTuallyAwesome | Alankrita Khera Alankrita’s career has been shaped by unstoppable ambition and deep curiosity. She started in broadcast media with organisations like Bloomberg, Times Television & Viacom18 and quickly realised that she loved problem-solving and wanted to be in the thick of the action—not at a distance. She thrived in the fast paced environments, wearing multiple hats and experiencing firsthand what it meant to build something from scratch. But over time, she found herself asking—could this same entrepreneurial energy be used to solve deeper, messier problems? Once she started exploring impact, she never looked back. Education felt like a familiar place to start, and she dove right in. She spent years shaping campaigns, driving fundraising, and understanding change at both a deep and systemic level through her work at CRY and Teach For India. With ACT, Alankrita saw the opportunity to work with founders in a way that fused entrepreneurial rigour with deep mission-alignment—and she knew she had to be part of it. As Director of #ACTForEnvironment and #ACTPlatform, she embodies the value of having an entrepreneurial mindset—taking risks, learning fast, and creating magic. She believes in building with intention, knowing real change takes time, but every step forward counts. When she’s out of office, she returns with wild travel stories, pictures of breathtaking deep sea dives, or new artwork made with her son. Her true superpower? Being fully present. Deeply empathetic, she inspires trust, confidence, and clarity in everyone around her, and hopes that everyone can truly think of themselves as someone who can make a difference to what they care about. In ACT terminology, may everyone realise they are indeed #CoFoundersOfSocialChange! #ThisIsUs

#ACTuallyAwesome | Sowjanya Kanuri Sowjanya’s career has been a journey of discovery—figuring out what didn’t excite her was just as important as finding what did. She started in banking, then spent three years in marketing at Unilever, but it wasn’t until she stumbled into the impact space that something clicked. Her first full-time foray into social impact was at Girl Effect, where she saw firsthand how innovative solutions could transform the lives of young girls. She thrived in the challenge of building from the ground up and loved working alongside people deeply driven by purpose. Scaling a small team into something bigger gave her a taste of the 0-to-1 journey—and she was hooked. As Director, #ACTForWomen and #ACTForEducation, she brings that same builder’s mindset to venture philanthropy, especially at the intersection(s) of gender, education and impact. Sowjanya thrives in ACT’s culture of collaboration and loves working with the team, which she describes as consisting of sharp, mission-driven minds who push each other to think bigger and do better every day. Beyond work, she has a unique ability to keep the team grounded—bringing perspective, balance, and quiet strength that makes the work more meaningful. Sowjanya envisions a future where dignity and respect aren’t privileges but guarantees—where rising aspirations are met with real opportunities, and she's committed to unlocking the opportunities for many. #CoFoundersOfSocialChange #ThisIsUs
