Since October 7, Israeli tech companies have really stepped up in some impressive ways, demonstrating resilience and innovation in the face of adversity. Today we decided to share some impactful initiatives: * Cybersecurity Boost With everyone on high alert, companies like Check Point Software Point and CyberArk have offered free trials of their cybersecurity tools to help protect important systems. They've been working hand in hand with the police to tighten up national security. * Mental Health Support Understanding the emotional toll, platforms like Myndlift and Telesofia Medical have expanded their telehealth services. They’re making online therapy more accessible so that anyone can find the mental health support they need during this tough time. * Aid and Relief Apps Startups have created apps that connect volunteers with local organizations that need help. Companies like Wix and Fiverr are making it super easy for people to pitch in and lend a hand. * Backing Local Businesses Apps like Buy Local have been developed to help consumers discover and support nearby shops, fostering a sense of community resilience. Venture capital firms and fintech companies established funds to provide low-interest loans and financial guidance to struggling businesses. OurCrowd launched initiatives to help local entrepreneurs secure funding more easily. * Community Building Networking groups are gathering to share resources and brainstorm recovery strategies. Organizations like Startup Nation Central and TechAviv are creating spaces for people to come together and discuss how to support one another. As we approach one year, the Israeli tech scene continues to come together to support each other and their communities. Cybersecurity giant CrowdStrike is acquiring Israeli cyber startup Adaptive Shield, an Israeli cyber startup, was acquired by cybersecurity giant CrowdStrike. The deal's sum is not disclosed, but according to Calcalist כלכליסט, it was about $300 million. Adaptive Shield monitors and controls all security aspects in cloud environments, continuously identifying potential attacks. Its Identity Threat Detection & Response (ITDR) and SaaS Security Posture Management (SSPM) solutions help security teams manage the organization’s applications, identities, and detect unusual behavior within the SaaS ecosystem. This year it is the second time CrowdStrike is acquiring the Israeli company. Earlier, CrowdStrike acquired DSPM startup Flow Security for around $200 million. “Our mission perfectly complements CrowdStrike, stopping SaaS breaches while further accelerating consolidation on cybersecurity's most comprehensive platform. I'm incredibly proud of our team for building the most advanced SaaS security solution, defining the market,” said Maor Bin, CEO and co-founder, of Adaptive Shield. Adaptive Shield was founded by Maor Bin and Jony Shlomoff in 2019. In 2023, the company raised $10 million from financial giant Blackstone.
