Nvidia appreciates us & keeps on doubling-down on the Israeli startup ecosystem. After the huge success with Mellanox the Giant is here to stay. That’s great. Again - I’d say that a big part of it belongs to Eyal Waldman. 2. Israel will get stronger, or at least keep on track within the race to AI. 3. Timing: especially now. When Israel is threatened and facing different attacks, and some big challenges. While many of us are not at our best (to say the least) and fight for our future - Nvidia knows what great innovation we have here, how great the teams are - and closing such a deal. 4. Just like many other great things we’ve seen recently, also this innovation starts with science. Education is important! 5. A small reason to smile and feel proud of our tech industry. Happy news. A week ago today I took the stage at Content Israel as a key speaker. I transparently shared in a room with over 300 fellow marketers that the first thing my CEO always asks me when we brainstorm a new campaign or program is, “Jen, what’s your content distribution plan?” 7 days and 3 hours to the dot, Daniel Kushner 🐙 asked me to provide my content distribution plan for one of our latest customer programs ( side note: super excited to launch, it's still top secret, so do stay tuned) And you know what was front and center as part of that distribution plan? #EmployeeAdvocacy. Why? Because when you understand how to use employee networks to distribute your content you crack the code in making sure your content is seen by the right people, from the right people in your organization. You create meaningful and personalized customer journeys. You stay true to what social media was intended for-- being social, and build a people-to-people connection. You use the authentic voices of your employees to share the content you’ve worked so hard to create ensuring that your content sees the light of day, you get the credit you deserve, and you can measure the actual engagement and reach of that content far beyond your corporate profile. And most importantly, you build meaningful relationships and can understand what content was used to help build them... So my question to you is, do you include #EmployeeAdvocacy as part of your distribution plan? * Book recommendation * I met Yaron Flint around 5 years ago, when I was the GM Programs at Quantum Hub. Dror Dotan who was then the Chief Innovation Officer of Taavura-Livnat group and I were working closely to build Israel's first POC runway program, and were looking for industry leaders to join our program as mentors. Dror suggested Yaron and made the intro, we had a short chat and I immediately knew that I was speaking to a real pro. The rest is history... Yaron joined the program as an expert and a mentor. He worked with some of our startups and helped them fine-tune their offering while offering from his extensive experience as an innovation expert. Since then, I went back to leading retail innovation and Yaron happened to land a role at Stanly Black and Decker, where retail innovation was highly relevant, and so we kept in touch. Every call with Yaron is always an opportunity to learn something new. Not only that, but Yaron is always willing to help, volunteer, and offer from his experience and innovative thinking. This is why even though I'm so looking forward to reading his book: "Innovative Business Development: Implementing Transformation from Within". How My Competitor’s $2M Raise Proved Me Right 2 years ago, I envisioned an AI-powered product sourcing agent to empower small and medium-sized retailers — those without large teams or deep cross-domain expertise — to reduce sourcing time, mitigate risks and stay ahead of market trends. After relocating to Israel, I took the plunge: assembled a team of ambitious immigrant talent, conducted in-depth market research and 30+ customer interviews, left my job, and invested my own $7K to bring this vision to life. We've worked tirelessly, and just a month before our beta launch, I discovered a competing startup, founded by former Amazon, Google and Stripe employees, that launched on September 13 after raising $2M in a pre-seed round from XYZ Venture Capital, Propel Ventures and Go Global Ventures. No significant traction, no real product — just a raw beta and social media posts filled with Midjourney-generated images. Instead of viewing this as a setback, it validated my vision. The fact that 2 similar projects emerged simultaneously proves there's a growing demand for solutions like ours. If large-scale teams are also pursuing this, it confirms that the market is ripe for transformation, and I’m proud to have been thinking in the same direction. For months, I battled impostor syndrome (not anymore), but this proves that innovative thinking isn't exclusive to industry giants. I arrived at the same solution independently, driven by data, passion and conviction, and ahead of the global AI hype. I may not have the corporate pedigree or deep pockets, but I do have something equally powerful: an amazing team, long-term vision, entrepreneurial resilience and unwavering support from my wife. I believe our product will inject fresh competition into the market, benefiting everyone. Amazing news for Israel, but maybe not so great news for the Israeli tech scene? Ilya Sutskever Raises $1 Billion for his New AI Venture! Bottom Line: Ilia Sutskever, one of OpenAI’s co-founders, has raised $1 billion for his new company, which aims to develop Super-Intelligence—an AI that can outperform human cognitive tasks with much (much) greater intelligence and efficiency. Just three months after announcing his new venture—Safe SuperIntelligence (which I wrote about previously) — it was revealed just a few days ago that Sutskever, a former Israeli and one of the brightest minds in the industry, has secured $1 billion at a $5 billion valuation. The funding round, of course, includes some of the most renowned investors in the world (Andreessen Horowitz, Sequoia Capital, and others). Sutskever founded the venture alongside @Daniel Levy, who worked with him at OpenAI, and investor @Daniel Gross. Pay attention to the word *Safe* in the company's name—it’s a core part of the mission these entrepreneurs have set for themselves. Sutskever says the company is laser-focused on one goal: creating the "holy grail" of AI research—Artificial General Intelligence (AGI)—which would be capable of performing any cognitive process humans can, including language processing, voice recognition, vision, understanding context, decision-making, and more. How we turned a challenge into an opportunity using contextual targeting. Recently, we helped an Israeli marketing agency grow its audience during some tough times. With the challenges of operating in a war-affected environment, their goal was to find ways to break through the noise and get in front of the right people. We didn’t rely on fancy tactics or gimmicks. Instead, we focused on contextual signals—specifically, leveraging social posts as a key indicator. I recently had a great conversation on The Ecosystem Podcast with Alon Cinamon, Rawaa Makhoul, and Eitan Gueron, where we explored the startup scene in Israel, the Middle East, and Africa.
