This weekend, we kicked off MidwestCon's Future of Data Hackathon! With $42,000 in prizes on the line and 3,456 cans of Red Bull to fuel our 700 participants, these builders are on a mission to create a better, more equitable future of data. Although we still have a week for teams to develop their projects and refine their pitches, I've already seen some truly impressive work. Rob Richardson and I conceived this idea nine months ago, and I’m incredibly proud of the movement it has become. I am beyond thankful for the hackers who have made this event successful and my team who have brought this vision to life. There’s one week left to submit your ideas on how AI, data visualization, or blockchain can help create a better, more equitable future of data. A huge thank you to our phenomenal sponsors: Google, JobsOhio, Pieces for Developers, The Graph, The Bright Initiative by Bright Data, and Red Bull! As well as all those not listed as well. Let's keep pushing the boundaries and make a difference! If you want to meet these sponsors in person, plus many more make sure to register for MidwestCon.
