In recent conversations with advertisers working with us, the topic of over blocking for the sake of brand safety has been weighing heavily on their minds. The constant struggle of balancing risk versus reach is tiring. This is the exact reason we recently released our “Pre-Blocking Insights” feature that allows advertisers to configure a blocking policy in what I like to call “listening mode”. At Protected by Mediaocean we then report on the number of impressions that would have been blocked should that policy been activated, allowing them to understand the impact of the blocking on their campaign reach.
