Lone Soldiers are Never Alone

The Lone Soldier Center in memory of Michael Levin is a non profit organization built to assist lone soldiers before, during and after their army service. Most of the staff of the Center are ex-lone soldiers that understand the needs of the current lone soldiers. We work to build a community of lone soldiers who will help each other with whatever needs to be done. The Center provides advising and consulting services, social events including shabbat dinners for lone soldiers in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, furniture locating and moving assistance and anything else that may arise from the needs of the soldiers themselves.

Sometimes it's hard to see the full picture. But then comes the moment when you raise your head, look at the numbers and set goals for the rest of the way. Since the beginning of the Iron Swords campaign, we have been expanding our activities, providing the soldiers with endless support - emotional, professional, technical and also financial. We invite you to take a look behind the scenes in the first half of 2024 and to continue following us, because whether we like it or not - this is just the beginning. We still have so much to do for the lone soldiers and we are not stopping! Well, maybe just for a little moment to look at what we've done so far, thank you to everyone who took part and take a deep breath for what's next. This week, I had the honor of speaking to young Jewish volunteers from abroad who have chosen to serve in the IDF as lone soldiers. Their presence is a powerful reminder of the unbreakable connection between Israel and the Jewish diaspora. Despite the challenges, these individuals have made the courageous decision to defend the Jewish homeland. At the LSC, we do everything we can to support these lone soldiers and allow them to focus on their military service without having to worry about their personal support system. We strive to give them a sense of home away from home, so they can devote themselves fully to protecting the Jewish state
