As #ClimateWeek NYC closed, we look towards the next round of major climate discussions this November at #COP29 in Baku. The COP29 President unveiled his climate action agenda this week, including “increasing #energy storage capacity by six times compared to a 2022 baseline to reach 1,500 gigawatts by 2030 and unlocking the potential of a clean #hydrogen global market.”   Last week, I had the opportunity to address how we can unlock hydrogen storage potential at 1BusinessWorld World’s Climate & Sustainability Leadership Summit in my session “The Hydrogen Economy at the Crossroads,” sharing Hydro X’s vision to unleash the potential of hydrogen through our safe, scalable and cost-efficient storage and transportation technology.   Watch the full session here: https://lnkd.in/dqwbEJ_G

【Hydro X demonstrates first-of-a-kind hydrogen technology with support from CLP】 The CLP Group recently supported Hydro X’s successful demonstration of its first-of-a-kind prototype unit, which showed that hydrogen can be safely stored and extracted with high quality using proprietary technologies developed by Hydro X. The results represent an important breakthrough enabling Hydro X’s technology platform to be deployed on a larger scale in the future. Hydro X, a company focused on hydrogen transportation and storage technologies, has been collaborating with CLP since 2021. Hydro X has developed a disruptive technology which makes it possible to store and transport hydrogen in a non-toxic, non-flammable, non-explosive, economic and energy-efficient carrier, reducing the cost of hydrogen storage and transportation and unlocking the hydrogen economy. Hydrogen is one of the key technologies with potential to support the decarbonisation of the energy sector, and CLP is committed to working with our partners to accelerate its development.

Story behind the Silver Award - Disruptive Technology of Hydrogen Storage   Hydrogen has become the key element of renewable and clean energy in recent years, while its difficulty in storage makes usage expansion and efficiency an uneasy task. The Silver Award 🥈 winner of this year’s TERA-Award also noticed that and focused their ideas on the breakthrough of this small but important area. It is time to introduce Hydro X from Israel, who won the award with their “Reshaping H2 Storage and Transportation” project!   “Hydro X has developed a disruptive technology which enables us to store and transport hydrogen in this non-toxic, non-flammable, non-explosive, and energy efficient carrier at a cost below 1 USD per kilogram of hydrogen.” Assaf Sayada, CEO of Hydro X, and his team shared their concerns and the challenges faced by humankind and our planet, as well as their insights on the future of green energy and sustainability. They came up with this innovative technique of storing hydrogen at close-to-ambient temperature and pressure, significantly reducing storage and transportation costs.   A small step in the details can lead to a giant leap in overall technological progress. 450 applicants... And the winner is... Hydro X! Again. Another major recognition and award for Hydro X disruptive hydrogen storage and transportation technology. Hydro X won the Silver Award at the third TERA-Award Smart Energy Innovation Competition. The event organized by NetZero Technology Ventures earlier this month was not only the opportunity to share thoughts with Uzi Yemin ( עוזי ימין ) and Shmuel Kedmi about the specificities of entrepreneurship and investments in the #climatech space but also to recognize and thank the legendary Professor Yoel Sasson. The man with a track record of 150 PhD and Master students, 60 patents, 300 scientific papers and 7 startups (but who counts?) including…Hydro X. In the last few months, a significant part of our pipeline is in #japan. This includes strategic engagements with some of the largest conglomerates in the "land of the rising sun" which has built one of the most ambitious #hydrogen strategies on our planet. The Japanese government has committed to ¥3trn ($20.86bn) of subsidies for clean hydrogen. The plan is to import 95% of this hydrogen. Hydrogen transportation and storage is crucial to the success of this strategy. More and more Hydro X is solicited by Japanese giants which are looking for the alternative to ammonia, with its huge infrastructure costs, very poor energy efficiency and significant environmental impact/risk. Hydro X, with its unparalleled energy efficiency and its non-toxic, non-flammable and non-explosive materials, reduces dramatically the risks and costs.
