The definition of an Oh S**t moment: "USDA research points to viruses spread by pesticide-resistant mites as culprit behind US biggest ever honeybee dieoffs" (62% of all bee colonies in 2024). In simple terms, Varroa, the most devastating mite in agriculture, has been contained over the years with dedicated in-hive pesticides.
