“I've had the pleasure of working with Odon for a year and a half. As a Senior Cloud Engineer he has shown himself more than capable in his field, and has been a great colleague to work with. He has also shown initiative when it comes to taking on tasks and has gone above and beyond by helping me with any issues that would impede my workflow. And on top of all that he's a wonderful person with a wicked sense of humour! Any team would be lucky to have him and I can highly recommend him as a colleague or employee to anyone.”

Your team is clashing over coding philosophies during reviews. How can you find common ground?
If your team is clashing over coding philosophies, or anything else for that matter, it's a sign that they're overstretched or the team chemistry is unbalanced or there is a lack of leadership. Depending on the size of your organisation and which of these issues it is will dictate how best to remediate the issue. A larger organisation can move individuals around more easily a smaller more personal organisation can be more readily 'culture shifted' to make the collaborative space less antagonistic. If it is obviously a single individual causing the problem then disciplinary action should be considered.

Here's how you can ace your software engineering interview by avoiding common mistakes.
It's better to reschedule than go in to a interview unfit. I had a 2nd or 3rd round interview while my daughter had pneumonia and I was in and out of the hospital and utterly exhausted and worn out. The interview was a disaster and I didn't get the offer. I should have contacted them explained that a personal matter meant I would need to reschedule for the next week and apologised for any inconvenience.

What IAM skills do you need to move your organization to the cloud?
IAM has been in my experience a tradeoff. On one side the principle of least privilege is the correct way to proceed when either one is improving an existing system or in areas of high risk, e.g finance, healthcare, however when in a move fast or die scenario the calculus becomes more nuanced. In either scenario it is important to have people who fundamentally understand the IAM landscape they're working in to make those calls. Perfect shouldn't be the enemy of good but a professional doesn't take needless risks for the sake of getting a feature done within a sprint.
