Our mission is to be the largest network of friends of Ireland dedicated to supporting programs of peace and reconciliation, arts and culture, education and community development throughout the island of Ireland. Founded in 1976, The Worldwide Ireland Funds currently operate in 12 countries and have raised over $500 million for over 3,000 arts and culture, community, education and social action organisations in Ireland. The Ireland Funds Young Leaders brings together young professionals and emerging philanthropists to network and to become closely involved with the mission of The Worldwide Ireland Funds, as well as providing access to prominent international business and civic leaders through an annual network of events and leadership forums. Paving the way for the future, the Society cultivates an emerging generation of philanthropists while providing a networking forum and a connection with modern Ireland. With vibrant events around the world, members have raised $1 million in the past year alone for the work of The Ireland Funds. In 2012 I was recruited as a Young Leader for the Ireland Funds in recognition of my drive to empower, facilitate and encourage philanthropy in the arts. This has proven to be an extremely rewarding international network on a personal and professional level.
