Free green electric anyone? Wind power supplying close to the 75% SNSP limit most of the night. The good news is 4 condensers will be built by 2028 in Sligo, Galway, Kerry, and Wexford allowing the 75% limit to move up to 95%. Amazing 👏 All night the other 25% of the generation was Gas or coal which Ireland pays other country's for and at the same time we are dumping Wind power. This helped no one in Ireland. As we don't have coal or gas. yes, Irish companies have long term contracts but let's just buy out these contracts and stop dumping wind power. 95% renewables are 100% achievable and interconnectors are of little use as they are inverter based so no real inertia.

Corkscrew deformation typically occurs due to: 1️⃣ Inadequate Cable Design: Insufficient flexibility in conductors and cores, often caused by improper stranding (e.g., absence of Class 6 conductors or equivalent). 2️⃣ Material Weakness: Insulation and sheath materials not designed for repetitive bending and torsional forces. 3️⃣ Dynamic Stress: Unsuitability for movement over short bending radii in reeling and festoon systems. Risks Associated with Corkscrew Failures Conductor Fatigue: Leads to eventual breakage under continuous bending. Insulation Failure: Core-to-core insulation damage increases the risk of short circuits. System Downtime: Equipment malfunction and repairs disrupt operations. Key Considerations for Prevention ✅ Use high-flexibility cables with proper torsional stress resistance, as specified in IEC 60228 or EN 50525-2-21. ✅ Ensure cables are specifically designed for reeling and dynamic applications, with tested mechanical properties. ✅ Regularly inspect and maintain cables in moving systems to detect early signs of deformation. Rotor Pull 1944 - 2024. 80 years on, what amazing people we have in the ESB who safely maintain and operate the plant, buildings and dams here in Ardnacrusha and will continue to do so for another 80 years+. 💬 Uisce Éireann Irish Water has successfully completed one of the largest initiatives to improve the drinking water supply in South Dublin and North Wicklow. The Old Connaught Woodbrook Water Supply Scheme is set to deliver a more dependable water supply for current homes and businesses while also accommodating future growth with increased capacity. This development includes the development of two modern, state-of-the-art reservoirs and 14km of new water mains, providing greater network resilience and flexibility across the Greater Dublin Area. welcome to see all future state-funded building must use low-carbon concrete from now - but should be applied across all buildings along with mandatory life-cycle carbon assessment and measurement so we can fully evaluate the emissions impact of a building.
