On your next video, instead of worrying about the LENGTH of your hook, focus on: 1/ Target 2/ Transformation 3/ Stakes Force every word to justify its place in relation to these three things. Your hook will end up exactly the length it needs to be.

Because sometimes you don’t know, Where you need help and  What kind of help? But it works like a charm. You just need to recognize its value. Let me explain why.👇🏻 As a mother of an almost 2-year-old,  I often think about the lessons I’ve learned from my father. Despite my age and accomplishments,  He still treats me with the same care as when I was 15. In business, a good mentor is like my father. Always watching out for you. Offering support, even when you think you don’t need it. This is how you build a successful journey. Ghosting can be of varied standards, and this one is new, at least to me. So, you call a person and ask them to write a test sample, and when the person disagrees with a 1500-word sample, you reduce the word count and ask her to write it. Since the reduced word count was not much, the person agreed and worked on it while delivering it on time. She texted that she had submitted it and got no response. She texted again, yet no response. She called, but no one picked up her phone. But this time, the person called back. But because of a network issue, she couldn't receive the call. So, she called back. The phone rang. None responded. Since then, there has been a pin-drop silence from the other end. People think that since they are a well-known OTT brand, they can do these things, which I prefer calling "lack of manners" because giving a response to someone's query is your fundamental lesson. You learn them in school and at home. A basic courtesy is not something anyone can teach you. When Life Happens "A man who is moved from within cannot be stopped by any external force, unless he stops himself from within." - Layi Wasabi A lot has happened since July 2023, but I’ll save the details for another day. Let’s just say, life has really happened 😊. I'm learning to stay motivated, even when it feels like the world is trying to frustrate me. So, when I watched Layi's TED Talk this morning about self-motivation, it really hit home ❤️. (Internal force) I remember planning for my service year, intending to focus on my YouTube channel 🎥 and my career in Project Management 📈. But... (External force) Right after camp, my laptop broke down 😓. I had to use my savings for moving expenses (Ondo to Imo) 🚛, and to top it all off, I was posted to a PPA where workers are treated like slaves. It’s been my worst work experience so far 😅. I’ve thought about giving up so many times 😔, but over the years, I’ve learned to work with what I have and stay in the game as long as I can 💪. After a month of "shege" in Imo State, I’ve decided to get back on my feet and rebuild my life. I don’t have a laptop for now, but I still have my phone 📱. I’m not sure how long it will take to fully bounce back, but one thing is certain: I will not fail 🚀. I hope this encourages you 💖. I hope you don’t give up 🙏. I hope you’ll try again 💫. Type or handwrite? The trouble I have is that they both come with their own set of problems. Let’s look at typing first. I am afflicted with a speed of communication problem between my brain and my two typing forefingers. By the time lefty and righty are through bashing out the first half of a sentence that has formed in my mind the remaining mental second half has been lost to the ether never to return as my thoughts race ahead to form the next sentence. The most sublime of word combinations is expunged in a heartbeat. Possibly the best things I’ve ever written, in my head that is, miss being saved for posterity by a country mile. Longhand I can get the words down slightly more quickly and most of the time keep up with my mental cogs as they drive things along. The problem arises later when I come to copy type my handwritten work up because the result is not that far removed from a lie detector read out. A catalogue of spidery troughs and peaks. Completely unreadable. And again the most sublime of word combinations is lost. The other problem I have with writing longhand is, to my uniquely wired brain, that it smacks of being homework and homework always sucks and should be swerved in every instance. I will confess to using longhand to make notes for future reference…which I obviously lose before ever employing them. Let’s get all twentieth century. I have not used voice-activated writing software but I bet with my Liverpudlian accent that could produce some hilarious results. Also I am too lazy, and may not have enough time left, to train a system with the knowledge that ‘dis’ means ‘this’ ‘over der’ means ‘over there’ and dats just off de top of me ‘ead. Yet again I fear the most sublime word…you get the picture. What about you? What method do you favour to enable you to share your creative genius with the world? Pen? Keyboard? Alphabet spaghetti?
