🚢 Exciting Announcement: The Dark Tide - A Revolutionary AI-Created Short Film 🚢 I’m thrilled to share The Dark Tide, a short film I’ve created that explores the tragic journey of the Irish Coffin Ships during the Great Famine—entirely crafted using AI! 🎥✨ This project marks a new chapter in storytelling, leveraging cutting-edge AI technology for everything from the cinematic visuals to the music and voiceover. 🎶🎙️ Although it’s still far from perfect, but about 95% of first I made generations were used in the video. Regenerating some shots could have probably helped cure some errors… but it will only get better from here! The film offers a harrowing glimpse into a pivotal moment in Irish history, where families endured unimaginable hardships, risking their lives on overcrowded, disease-ridden ships in search of survival. The power of AI allowed us to recreate this story with an unprecedented level of detail, atmosphere, and emotion. ✨ Logo redesign for an embroidery Etsy shop evolving into a lifestyle brand that aims to revitalize entertainment. House of Gleason combines the owner’s paternal and maternal heritage - Irish friendliness, modesty & humility with English classiness, refinement & sense of humor. 📈 The client felt that the brand needed refinement to ensure flexibility and ease of application across channels. She envisioned a whimsical design that conveys quality, authenticity, and playfulness. Atrial fibrillation is a condition in which coordination between the atria and ventricles is lost due to some defect in the AV node. It can be cured/ is treatable. Trouble is, its very hard to detect, understand and diagnose. I've spoken to cardiologists who describe it as looking for a needle in a haystack, and when you find the needle, who knows what it means. In order to detect, understand and treat cardiologists have the option of getting a patient to wear a Holter monitor for 48hrs, which is almost never conclusive, or recommending a procedure to implant a loops device which can be monitored over an extended period of time. A Holter is simple but almost entirely useless, and a Implantable Loops system requires a patient to undergo a procedure. So cardiologists have a gapping hole in diagnostic capability between the two options. Galenband will address this gap with a medical grade product, delivering diagnostic level data to cardiologists, supporting them in patient care and better outcomes.

It is so gratifying to see the impact of your research out there in the real world. On my visit to Dublin to see my many Irish clients face-to-face after much too long, I passed this sign outside the Europe Experience - sadly, not a venue you will encounter in the UK! This poster is an extension of the campaign developed from the output of the research I handled for An Coimisiún Toghcháin, The Electoral Commission, exploring creative routes designed to drive voter registration and participation. The route I recommended had been conceived as a follow-up to one of the two main routes researched but, on the basis of the research learning, I proposed that it should instead be developed as the lead route. The video advertising idea from TBWA\Dublin dramatises the consequences of not voting engagingly through analogy, exaggerating scenarios to which people can relate: https://lnkd.in/eYaXDSBn.  It’s a great example of the power of ‘loss aversion’ as a behaviour driver, wherein the fear of losing something you already have - in this case personal agency - is more motivating than the prospect of acquiring something you don’t presently have. The campaign's success has resulted in it being submitted to the #EffieAwards. "Irish sensibility prevents us from properly selling ourselves". I had the privilege of attending a live recording of the On Strategy Showcase at the iconic Guinness Storehouse. My key takeaways from the panel below. 1. Irish people get culture, we know how to make things happen and we're empathetic to other cultures. We're a nation of storytellers but we haven't been telling enough stories recently because we're too focused on tactical work and short-termism. 2. From a strategic point of view, we can compete with the best in the world. What we need is audacious ambition and a bit of courage. You can fake confidence, but you can't fake courage. 3. Marketing is an investment, not a cost and the dial is shifting (albeit slowly). We're the people who bring the voice of the consumer into the boardroom so we need to fight for our ideas.

Keep it simple, This photo was taken in an area which I designed for Bord na mona at Body & Soul a few years ago. We wanted get kids engaged with the natural environment of the woods and see it in different ways. Using a ‘Mogee’, in about 5 minutes I was able to turn this log and some sticks into a pretty unusual music instrument. There was about 20 different things going on in this space; Bug hotel, character trail, drum bands, yoga, live art, a guy sculpting an owl with a chainsaw, vegetable piano. Nothing sparked the same level of joy however as the log and sticks with the funny sounds. It was also the most accurate representation of what our goal was in creating the space. Creatively, keeping it simple means staying focused on what the space should achieve. Execution-wise, it’s about removing barriers, minimizing explanations, and making the most of available resources. I was doing the old “elevator pitch” to someone today about what Whitenoise is and described how we produce strategically planned and beautiful content for marketing and sales teams, CEOs and business owners to use to further their business or organisational growth. Think websites, interactive brochures, stunning corporate videos and tv ads, bespoke explainer animations and beautifully crafted and thoughtful brand identities. We don’t run social media accounts (anymore!) and we don’t really create snappy digital content turned around in a day or two with a short use lifespan. That type of content is a necessity in today’s social media and digital era, but for a million reasons, we don’t focus on it and it’s not our bag. Credit to those whole have nailed it and keep up with trends - your agility astounds me! The person I was chatting with remarked that I nailed the pitch, because I knew what we did and didn’t do and I wasn’t afraid to lay it out clearly. It’s not for lack of trying. We are more than capable of churning out excellent social media posts and 10 second ads, and when called on by our clients we will deliver, but we don’t position ourselves as a digital or social media and advertising conveyor belt. We prefer not to feed that particular beast and that means actually saying no to a significant amount of work. Instead we focus on creating things that “move the needle” for our small and big clients alike, creating materials or assets that are a daily tool for our clients and have a tangible lasting impact. So much so that we are often commissioned to update materials or videos we made a year+ ago, because the content is still best in class but just needs a polish. The days of being all things to all men are probably over…and in my experience it is refreshing to commit to what you are brilliant at and choose to nurture that. I've launched a journaling project that shows participants how to make a piece of augmented reality art… while learning a powerful wellness tool in the process. The project is called A-OR and I released it with the help of Creative Ireland, Carlow Arts Office and Carlow County Council this summer. The purpose of the project is to offer people a fun and creative way to develop their thoughts and emotions through journalling… with a tangible/creative result at the end! My mission with this project is to show that everyday thoughts, once channeled in the right direction, can create something powerful, creative and impactful. By taking part participant can expect: 1. To learn how to Journal: A powerful growth tool that they can take away and use in everyday life 2. To learn the creative process: This is how creative people channel their ideas from thought to fruition. 3. To make an innovative piece of original art/design: Which we print, frame and give you once complete. 4. To have fun and express yourself: This is the most important piece of the project. Learning through fun and interaction doesn’t feel like learning at all. No experience in art, wellness or AR if needed. Niall Ratcliffe reached out to us with an exciting project. They were launching their NEW video packages for their clients and needed a compelling launch video to communicate everything. We asked for the raw video and branding guidelines, and then got to work. Our goal was to create a video that wasn't just informative, but also connected emotionally with viewers. Yesterday, I came to London to attended the Social Media: Building Communities & The Future of AI event, where I had the chance to learn more on the role of AI in social media community building and content planning. 📝 It’s extremely insightful to travel outside of Ireland and see what’s happening over here, both from an educational point of view and to see how we can bring this back and implement for clients at PING Media Management . One key takeaway was how AI is not only transforming the way we connect online but also enhancing the personalisation and scalability of community engagement, cutting down monotonous task times 💡 Integrating AI into our clients is something social media strategies is something I’m regularly working on, so this has really give some eye-opening perspective. 🚀
