XOCEAN recently completed survey operations on ScottishPower Renewables East Anglia One, which is currently the largest offshore windfarm in Iberdrola’s portfolio. These complex surveys were completed using XOCEAN's fleet of Uncrewed Surface Vessels (USVs) fitted with hull mounted multibeam echosounders and a towed array featuring side-scan sonar. Despite the challenging weather conditions of late 2024, the USVs demonstrated their ability to operate year-round. XOCEAN has successfully completed a detailed geophysical survey along the 420km export cable route for the proposed Ossian floating offshore wind farm in the North Sea.    Despite facing 11 named storms over a 13-month period, the survey gathered crucial data in water depths ranging from the shoreline to over 100m.     This data will support Ossian's engineering and development teams and Environmental Impact Assessment consultants in identifying viable routes for the offshore export cables.     Ossian is a joint venture between SSE Renewables, Marubeni Corporation and Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners   Find out more: https://lnkd.in/gQFdmdrH     #XOCEAN #USV #Survey #Economic #Safety #CarbonNeutral #OffshoreWind #OssianWindFarm
