💫 Celebrating Leadership in Action – Leaders Awards 2024 💫 At Leaders Awards 2024, we were honoured to present the Chairperson’s Award to Louise Quill of Tír na nÓg Childrens Foundation CLG for Louise’s extraordinary commitment to empowering vulnerable children. On the night, many of us were moved by the sentiment: “Wouldn’t it be wonderful to see her incredible work and find ways to support her mission?” We’re delighted to share that this didn’t remain just a thought. Tech Industry Alliance Board Members Catherine Evans (Fexco) and Mary O'Donoghue (Park Place Technologies) have solely embraced this action and will be travelling to Kilimanjaro next Saturday, 9 August, to volunteer directly with the Tír na nÓg team. During their trip, they’ll be hands-on at the school and orphanage, gaining invaluable insight into ambitious projects underway to expand and enhance the facilities. If you would like to support Louise and her incredible team, please consider donating or sponsoring a child via their fundraising page: https://lnkd.in/e3MYTfED We look forward to sharing photos and stories from Catherine and Mary’s journey upon their return✨

Prior to taking up this role in 2019, Mark ran his own strategic advisory business and held senior managerial and advisory positions for over twenty years in politics and government, both at E.U. and national levels, including serving as Chief of Staff at the Department of the Taoiseach from 2011 to 2017. On a voluntary basis, Mark is involved with the University of Limerick Foundation, the Prosper Kerry Network and the Kerry Association in Dublin. In this interview, we hear about Mark’s involvement in bidding for and securing the 2025 European Amateur Team Championship, held at Killarney Golf & Fishing Club’s famed Killeen Course last week. The prestigious tournament marked a historic return after 50 years to Killarney, having last been held here in 1975 and brought together 16 teams made up of the best amateur golfers from across Europe to compete against one another. The Championship is organized by the European Golf Association and is played over several days and features both team and individual competitions. Past champions include Rory McIlroy, Shane Lowry and Jon Rahm, highlighting the tournament’s rich history in shaping future stars on their path to the Ryder Cup victories and The Open.
