The #Akazi project created momentum in #Malawi to improve not only breast cancer care but overall breast health. Today, we want to celebrate the incredible women and our collaborators part of these efforts—like Tabitha Warwick of the Breast Cancer Care Foundation Malawi and Dr. Palesa Chisala, whose research and work at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Blantyre are transforming lives. They work and fight every day for a better future for women in Malawi. #globalsurgery #IWD2025 #AccelerateAction Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) RCSI School of Population Health Kamuzu University of Health Sciences Research Ireland Agency for Scientific Research and Training Jakub Gajewski Chiara Pittalis Antonio Jaén Osuna
