Had a great day yesterday at the Venture Capital Conference with InterTradeIreland at Croke Park. The event was exceptionally well organised, offering plenty of opportunities for networking and learning. I was particularly impressed with Susan HayesCulleton CFA, "The Positive Economist", who did an outstanding job hosting the event. Fantastic day at the InterTradeIreland Venture Capital Conference 2025 yesterday! It was brilliant to connect with so many investors, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders, sharing insights on the evolving investment landscape North and South of the Island. Even better to finally meet in person with a few people I’d only spoken to over Teams or email before. Great to see our National Stadium used for such events—Croke Park made for a perfect setting! As Head of Tax at Xeinadin Ireland, Dave brings a wealth of experience in finance, strategy, and leadership to this role. Having served as Secretary, Treasurer, and Vice-President, he has played a key role in reshaping CBA and advocating for the growth and development of Cork City. Had a wonderful time on Saturday night at the Marketing Institute Ireland Cork Ball at Cork’s Vienna Woods Hotel and Holiday Villas. A huge well done to Leigh Gillen, Katie Power, and the entire team for organising such a brilliant event, with funds raised for the incredible Good Shepherd Cork - GSC charity. Feenix Group has When Sinéad Hosey and I started this business in 2020, developing an initial strategy and securing seed investment, we had no idea where it would lead but we knew the potential and opportunity. If you had said Trev "in 2025 Feenix would have a very cool Roblox experience with over 4M visits and a 76% rating", I would have prob said, "that makes sense" (never had a closed mind to be honest) If you had said we would have 20+ full time staff and consultants in the business and a leading advisory board, I would, even with that open mind, probably laughed at that one but with an amazing team in situ, I am more than delighted with our progress as a provider of employment, in a cool industry. If you said we would have amazing backers in the shape of Quintas Capital and Beach Point Capital Ireland and UK I would have definitely have said yes (Sinead and I have always been confident in the journey) So here we are, in year 5 with four years of incredible growth. Our Managing Director, Kevin Canning, had the pleasure of attending Metronomics, hosted by Shannon Byrne Susko at The Johnstown Estate.
