Managing micromobility poses major challenges for many cities: But a new trial in Istanbul 🇹🇷 could show that solutions are possible 🛴📱 Since launching in the Turkish city, micromobility operator hop faced challenges with its e-scooters, from incorrect parking, to vandalism, to improper use of scooters and safety. Despite positive actions, such as geofencing of scooter use and dedicated parking infrastructure, new solutions were needed. Through a collaboration with Luna Systems, a trial was implemented to require users to take pictures of their scooter once their ride had finished to demonstrate proper parking and vehicle position in the street environment. This seemingly small action has helped to increase proper use and parking of vehicles, and reduce damaged or abandoned vehicles. Solutions like this shows how with the right management, shared mobility can help to deliver safe, convenient transport for a wide range of residents in cities 🛴 🚌 🏙 Find out more in Zag Daily 👇 https://lnkd.in/etSXnWQH
