Breakthrough Maths

I always get asked “why don’t you do other subjects?” And people don’t realise….. …..the amount of work it takes to do one subject really well. We have made over 800 individual videos, tests and homework questions. Just to do that really well. From 1st to 6th year. It’s a huge effort. Sean Donnelly who joined our team a few months ago is a key part of our content team. He studied Maths in Queen's University Belfast and has been tutoring Maths for well over 5 years. We need more Seans - more people who really enjoy making Maths content, tweaking our system and perfecting the student experience. Especially as we scale to the UK 💪🏻

Hats off to Ben Sheehan. He stood up in front of 500 students and gave a talk on entrepreneurship as part of a series of talks by the Immersive Software Engineering course. Great stuff from someone still so young and on this journey for a little over 2 years. Good man Ben 👏

In 4 years, we’ve gone from 8 students to over 2,000/wk. Fully bootstrapped. Each year, we add incremental improvements to our service ✅ Students being able to access 4 classes/wk ✅ Testing in every single class ✅ Progress reports to parents Our goal is to make the impact that the Khan Academy has had. Our Galway team, based out of PorterShed. Ben Sheehan runs our overall operations of the school and technology. He’s been with us for over 2 years. Cillian Glackin joined us a few months ago and has helps to run our classes efficiently and helps day to day in our sales department. Both lads bring a great buzz to the team, and are playing a key part in doubling our year on year growth.

Meet Tom Comer, the newest addition to our content team. Based in Newry, Tom is currently studying math and economics at Trinity College. He’s no stranger to us, having previously taught math with great success. Now, he’s focused on crafting the perfect math lesson and developing teaching methods for our new platform.
