EPLO Delegation Visits Moldova to Strengthen Cooperation From February 3-5, 2025, an EPLO Delegation led by EPLO Director Prof. Spyridon Flogaitis visited Chisinau for a series of high-level meetings with Moldovan authorities. The delegation engaged in discussions with key officials, including representatives from the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Moldova, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova, Bureau for European Integration, Ministry of Digitalization and Cybersecurity, Superior Council of the Magistracy, National Institute of Justice, Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Energy, and General Police Inspectorate. The meetings focused on expanding cooperation to enhance institutional capacities and support Moldova’s European integration process. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening collaboration in key areas of governance, justice, and the rule of law. 2025 Call For ELGS Resident Teaching Staff for Athens (Greece), Rome (Italy) and Cascais (Portugal) campuses The ELGS seeks to appoint up to 3 Resident teaching staff starting from the 2025-2026 academic year for each of its campuses in Athens (Greece), Rome (Italy) and Cascais (Portugal) (in total: up to 9) Appointments are for one-year with the option for renewal for up to five years maximum, and shall be subject to a formal employment contract with the EPLO. Resident teaching staff will be granted the academic title corresponding to their qualifications. At the end of the fifth year, teaching staff may be offered tenure. The Institute for the Global Rule of Law of the EPLO organized a Conference entitled 'The Rule of Law and the Administration of Justice' on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 January 2025 at Casa de Santa Maria the headquarters of the EPLO Regional Branch, Cascais with the participation of Professor Giuliano Amato, Emeritus President of the Constitutional Court of Italy and former PM, the Mayor of Cascais Mr Carlos Carrieras, Mr M. de Serpa Soares former Under Secretary General for Legal Affairs and UN legal Counsel and distinguished personalities of the local and International community.

Last week, EPLO European Public Law Organization and MedMA staff met with Dr. Nicholas A. Ioannides, the Deputy Minister of Migration and International Protection of the Republic of Cyprus. We are grateful to Dr. Ioannides and his colleagues for the opportunity to present our work on asylum and migration in the Mediterranean region.
