As there a tool, we can now start asking people to write changelog entries.
The idea to have entries in separate files, and if they are named after issues or prs, they wont conflict. Then while preparing releases, a release manager will assemble the changelog and empty the
changelog.d
directory. This way we don't need to tag which release each change belongs to. Stuff inchangelog.d
is for next version.changelog-d
needs some love (e.g. make the github repository configurable), but I'll polish the details before I'll actually do the release. Until then we can start collect entries already in the pull request process.👍 / 👎 ?
If I run
changelog-d
in this branch I'll getSignificant changes
