Unlocking New Possibilities in α-Alkylation with Flow Chemistry. 🔬 We are proud to highlight the work of Mark Molnar, C. Oliver Kappe, and Sándor Balázs Ötvös, who, with the Corning® Advanced-Flow™ Reactors team, demonstrated a scalable and efficient flow chemistry approach for synthesizing α-alkylated aldehydes, including critical intermediates such as (R)-Esonarimod. This demonstration of scale able and efficient production is highly attractive for pharmaceutical production. They achieved enantioselective α-alkylation of aldehydes using Corning’s Lab Photo Reactor. This innovative, photosensitizer-free process delivered impressive yields of 70–90% and 71–91% ee - showcasing outstanding productivity. 👉 Learn more here: Merger of Visible Light‐Driven Chiral Organocatalysis and Continuous Flow Chemistry: https://lnkd.in/et8-y_5S

Let’s discover Corning’s G4 Reactor! The G4 Reactor has been designed specifically for large-scale production and seamless scale-up from our lab solutions. The G4 helps enable our industrial customers reduce the time it takes to start a new chemical production. This reactor is equipped with Corning AFR’s patented silicon carbide (SiC) fluidic modules to perform a wide array of chemical reactions with state-of-the-art heat exchange and mass transfer. Due to the low internal volume of our fluidic module, a G4 Reactor can deliver throughput equivalent to cubic meter sized batch reactors, enabling up to a 90% reduction in manufacturing footprint.
