Governments around the world have adopted a growing range of climate policies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Yet, important questions remain on their real-world effectiveness and possible unintended effects, such as carbon leakage. What can we learn from existing policies? How robust is the evidence? And how can better data on policies help assess what has worked and guide future climate action? Join us at the next OECD - OCDE Green Talks LIVE webinar on 19 May 2026, 15:00-16:00 CEST, as we discuss these and other questions. OECD Environment Director Jaime de Bourbon de Parme will open the session, followed by a discussion moderated by Nathalie Girouard, Head of the OECD Environmental Performance and Information Division. Invited experts will present OECD data that track climate mitigation policies across countries and over time, and highlight empirical applications that inform policymakers about the impacts of these policies. Our speakers include: ➡️ Annika Stechemesser, Scientist, PIK - Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research ➡️ Yves Steinbach, Associate Professor, University of Oslo ➡️ Daniel Nachtigall, Economist, OECD Environment Directorate ➡️ Yannick Hemmerlé, Economist, OECD Economy 🔗 Register now to join us! ⤵️ https://lnkd.in/e8gnzzDr #GreenTalks | #ClimateMitigation | #CarbonLeakage | #GHGEmissions

➡️Découvrez notre analyse, maintenant disponible en français : https://brnw.ch/21x2eWj ➡️Also available in English: https://brnw.ch/21x2eWk #Productivité #FinancesPubliques #PolitiquesPubliques #Défense OCDE

A comprehensive reform package is needed to boost supply, improve affordability and enhance market functioning. This includes: ▪️easing building and planning restrictions to support densification, ▪️reforming housing taxation to reduce price pressures, and ▪️modernising rental regulations to encourage mobility. Better targeting of social housing and incentives for more efficient use of existing stock would further improve access for those most in need. Well-sequenced reforms can strengthen efficiency, expand supply and ensure affordable housing as demand evolves. 🔎 Learn more in the blog: https://brnw.ch/21x2aru #Denmark #OECD #Housing
