Last week, Paris was buzzing with the #AIActionSummit, bringing together industry leaders to discuss the challenges and opportunities shaping the future of AI in Europe and worldwide. During France Invest's panel “𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘗𝘌𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘝𝘊𝘴 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘈𝘐’𝘴 𝘯𝘦𝘹𝘵 𝘱𝘩𝘢𝘴𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘨𝘳𝘰𝘸𝘵𝘩, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘥𝘰𝘦𝘴 𝘍𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘨𝘭𝘰𝘣𝘢𝘭 𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘦?” as part of the #AIBusinessDay at STATION F, our Managing Partner Julien-David Nitlech joined: ・Fabrice Dumonteil (Eiffel Investment Group, France Invest) ・Jeremy Jawish (CEO, Shift Technology, an IRIS portfolio company) ・Adeline Lemaire (Bpifrance) ・Pauline Thomson (Ardian) ・Philippe Tibi ("Financement Scale-Up" committee, ministere economie) Missed it? Here are the key takeaways from Julien-David’s talk: 🧪 AI’s value lies in its applications, not just its infrastructure. The true winners won't be those with the most advanced algorithms, but those who successfully integrate AI to solve concrete business challenges. 🧮 Data is the key: Quality data remains the foundation of AI excellence. We're particularly focused on companies that both leverage and enhance the AI data ecosystem. 🔮 SaaS as AI’s biggest enabler. The most impactful companies for AI will be those making AI accessible and actionable across industries. These platforms will be the essential bridge between raw AI capability and market adoption. 📈 Scaling AI for growth. For growth-stage companies, AI isn’t an add-on—it's a fundamental driver of productivity and value creation. At IRIS, we’ve been backing AI long before the hype: a conviction proven by the tech companies we've backed, scaled, successfully exited, and continue to support today. 🦾

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗕𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗮 $𝟯𝗕 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 🗣️ Last week, we hosted an intimate lunch in Paris with Jean-Luc Robert, former CEO of 𝗞𝘆𝗿𝗶𝗯𝗮, and Curt Gunsenheimer, Managing Partner at 𝗜𝗥𝗜𝗦, to explore one of Europe’s most remarkable tech success stories—a 𝟭𝟰-𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 between entrepreneur and investor. Kyriba’s evolution from a France-centric company to a global leader in financial technology during our time as a shareholder was marked by: • 25x revenue growth and 30x ARR, driven by strategic decisions and execution. • Expansion across the US, Europe, and Asia, now serving over 3,000 global corporations. • A transition to profitability, culminating in a $3 billion exit in 2024 for IRIS. Jean-Luc shared captivating anecdotes, offering a rare glimpse into the CEO’s perspective. From the early challenges of building trust in a misunderstood SaaS model to maintaining Kyriba’s unique culture while scaling globally, his reflections were both insightful and inspiring. He also shed light on the balancing act of pursuing ambitious growth in the US while staying true to Kyriba’s European roots. This behind-the-scenes discussion was a testament to the leadership, bold decisions, and perseverance required to build a global champion. We look forward to hosting more conversations like this to highlight other remarkable journeys from the IRIS portfolio. 👀 cc: Erik de la Rivière Nicolas Herschtel Anais Monlong Morgane Seradieu

That’s where Hopia steps in. Founded by Victoire Bach and Matthias Lesage, Hopia is transforming medical scheduling with explainable #AI, replacing inefficient manual processes with smart, transparent solutions. Hopia has already built a strong foundation: - Trusted by 1,700+ users and 80 client teams at institutions like CHU de Brest and Groupe Hospitalier Saint Joseph. - Delivering efficiency gains that free caregivers to focus on patients, reduce temporary staffing, and improve team satisfaction. Today, Hopia takes a major step forward with a €𝟯.𝟱𝗠 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱, co-led by IRIS and Kurma Partners, alongside a group of specialized business angels. This investment will fuel Hopia’s next phase of growth: - Expanding into new segments such as nursing homes and radiology centers. - Doubling the team to meet growing demand. - Enhancing its capabilities to drive even greater impact in healthcare institutions. The deal was led by Anais Monlong and Shana Hudes, both of whom are deeply convinced of Hopia's potential. As Anaïs puts it: "Hopia is rethinking resource management in healthcare. It’s about more than efficiency—it’s about improving care, empowering caregivers, and building a more sustainable system."
