Is the current cargo Dream Chaser smaller than the original proposed crewed Dream Chaser?

Can it launch outside of a fairing?  Especially if it carries crew for launch escape if necessary.

How would the launch escape system work?

No, and no.

Ok, if carrying a crew, how does a launch escape system work, that NASA requires if it is in a fairing?

The crewed version is not in a fairing, only the cargo version is.
