Be careful what you wish for - it's prone to disappear!

Questions for Turbine...

Will you be using the most recent 4K master for this release ?

Will you be including the Network TV version of the film (as featured on the US Scream Factory edition) ?

Will the 2011 prequel or the 1951 film 'The Thing From Another World' be included in this set ?

Will you be licensing any of the extras (documentaries, audio commentaries etc.) from the Scream Factory or Arrow Video releases ?

The one 4K uhd STILL not announced. And yet another BD special edition. Sorry, but no 4K, no deal! 11 years on BD is long enough. Let's go Universal!!

I guess the labels who sublicense the title (or do it in cooperation for that matter) are not allowed to make an UHD before the mothership (i.e. Universal) does it first.

Most likely true, although it would help if any indies were brave enough to take the UHD plunge. Kino were handed the UHD rights to the Dollars films (this being from MGM, who don't give a single bratwurst about home video in general these days) but it remains to be seen if they will act upon them. Easy for me to say when I'm not running the business, I grant you.

Oooooooooooooh. Aaaaaaaaaaaah.

Modern Version methinks. Like that box art. Looks more in keeping with the filmmaker's preferred poster campaign. And I've got the parka lamp dude on other versions I'm not about to get rid of.

Turbine guy:

Is this the new 4k scan?

If so, did Turbine fix the gamma error that's present through most of the Arrow transfer, or is it a direct port of that transfer?

Also, wish I could get the modern design insides within the classic design box. Love that classic thing poster but not the silly vhs tape packaging.
