A decade into his role as CEO of Walmart, Doug McMillon has maintained the company’s 12-year streak in the top spot of the Fortune 500. Walmart brought in $648 billion in the fiscal year that ended in January of this year, up 6% from the previous year. The company also made $100 billion in global e-commerce revenue. This year, McMillon, who started at Walmart in 1984 as an hourly associate, split the company’s stock for the first time since 1999. He said it was a move to make buying full shares more accessible to more employees.
