  • East Tennessee had six restaurants on Yelp's Top 100 family-friendly restaurant list.
  • Four Pigeon Forge restaurants made the list.
  • The Local Goat came in at No. 4, just behind restaurants in Colorado, Arizona and Texas.

Good news for families visiting the Gatlinburg-Pigeon Forge area: six East Tennessee restaurants have been named among Yelp's Top 100 family-friendly restaurants in the country.

So what makes them family-friendly?

Yelp had a few criteria each restaurant had to meet. The restaurants that made the list encourage playtime, having anything from crayons and coloring books to playgrounds and arcades. These spots have outdoor spaces and picnic areas for children to leave the dinner table and explore. Yelp also looked to see if the restaurants offered fresh, healthy food option parents could feel good about giving their kids.

Seven Tennessee restaurants were on the list, and six of them are near Knoxville. Can you guess which ones made the cut? Here are the family-friendly restaurants close by that made Yelp's Top 100.

Blue Moose Burgers & Wings has locations in Pigeon Forge, Alcoa, Chattanooga and Johnson City. The Pigeon Forge spot, located at 2430 Teaster Lane, ranked No. 96 on Yelp's Top 100 list.
